Absolutely love the scarf well done you, from what I could see the stitches looked very even. I've been knitting since I was 16 and I'm now 27, it's helped be through some very dark times and kept me doing something productive.
I learned to knit when I was 8 years old. Stuck at home during the school holidays with chicken pox, and my nanna taught me. Have been knitting ever since. Also like crochet (learned off you tube tutorials), cross stitch and diamond dots. I have the drawer organisers and find them great for socks and small items. Really enjoy your vlogs, thanks for sharing 🌞
For knitted things (I knit a lot^^), I wash them using the soap called "soak" (found in online in France. amazon has it too). It's a "no rinse" wool soap (if you feel your sweater is reaaaally dirty, throw the water once and do it once again). With that soap, you just need to put the sweater in room temperature water and a little "soak" (the amount is specified on the bottle). - Then let it sit there for a little while (20min to 1/2h). - Take it out and press it gently to squeeze the excess water out. - Then I put my sweater on a big thick towel, roll it in like a burrito and gently walk on the roll (gently!! ^^) up and down a few times to press the rest of the water out . - Lastly, put it flat to dry. What felts the wool, is too much agitation/friction when wet ( so be gentle), as well as sudden change of temperature (so don't soak it in warm water and then rinse with super cold water). With that big list of explanation, it might look complicated, but it's actually super easy : soak, squeeze, burrito/walk on it and lay it flat to dry! :D
Cherry, remember Dumbledore loved knitting patterns. Try a quilter's thimble made from leather to protect your fingers. I do latch hook. Working on Harry Potter one. It's the mermaid stained glass from prefect's bathroom from The Goblet of fire.
I crochet and I love it . My mom taught me when I was 10, and I did give it up for a while, but I picked it back up several years ago. I am so impressed that you can knit because I find knotting so confusing compared to crochet! I am crocheing several projects right now in prep for our parks department Yarn Bombing event in the summer
I started diamond painting which is so relaxing! I started listening to the Mile Higher podcast and I am obsessed. I binge-watched Prodigal Son and even though it got canceled, I still think it's amazing. Also, my favorite show's last season is coming up in March so if you want to check that out it's The Last Kingdom. Last but not least, I bought Taylor Swift's last 4 albums signed and I definitely don't regret it even if it wasn't cheap. Treat yourself! :)
I haven’t tried knitting yet BUT my quarantine activity I picked up in 2020 was crochet! My room mate is really good at it and she taught me how to make a doll and since then I’ve made a ton of plushies and hats. I think it’s so cool that I can read patterns pretty independently now and make things out of yarn. I love it. And now, usually in Sunday’s, we’ll make chilli or bake something and put on a movie and have a crochet days and work on our own projects or start on something new together to work on. 10/10 good time.

Yeah, my yarn creation phase started the year before last. Started with a potholder, was going for square and it ended up round.... Found out what I was doing wrong and made a few proper square ones, then moved on to the scarf and made a few of those. My current project is a throw blanket....Barely half done but I've already gained a stitch.... I really hope my final project doesn't turn out to be just a huge triangle.
So fun to hear about your progress! You can always decrease a stitch in the general area/similar pattern area of where you added a stitch to counterbalance it - good luck and have fun with the throw blanket!
Can I just say that I love that wonderful book replica. My god, it's so beautiful! Real craftsmanship there. So sad, that the creator is really swamped and the next runs will take longer than expected. Hope I can still get mine, even if it is quite expensive now. Thanks for the idea.
I think it's awesome that people knit. My mom use to crochet often after she became legally blind and she came up with amazing patterns for her blankets and caps.
Took me an hour, but I found where the book is from! It’s on the project runs website and it’s definitely the one Cherry bought as her name is on there. Costs £200 and the person making them has orders until end of March 2022. Hope that helps anyone looking for it. Never heard of the website before but looks like a good one for future reference!

I've recently taken up crochet, cuz I suck at knitting, but one thing I can HIGHLY recommend getting is a yarn ball winder! It winds those unwieldy skeins of yarn into really nice cakes that are super easy to use and store. I also got a yarn swift, which helps to keep the yarn untangled when winding, but it's really not necessary
I’m addicted to knitting socks! I give them to my Mom because I live in Alabama and seldom wear socks. She lives in North Dakota and wears the all year round!!! I collect sock yarn when I travel so I can relive the trips while I knit! Enjoy!!

I only know how to knit (flat knitting, literally nothing else) cast on, cast off, and how to make a dishcloth. I've tried to learn anything but can't handle it. I like to knit all the time to keep my hands busy, and make dishcloths for family and hats (just a big square) and donate them to the homeless shelter every christmas. I just like to make the really simple stuff.

I have so many hobbies that switch places from time to time. I like to play Sims (or videogames in general), I picked up sewing clothes for my niece's Barbie dolls, I can crochet (haven't done it in a while, though) and I also enjoy art and crafting... The lining on your teddy jacket's probably taffeta, it's a common lining fabric :) the only thing I've watched on Netflix (and the only reason why I got a subscription in the first place) is The Witcher, because I LOVE the books. Oh... and I've watched one episode of Downton Abbey. Love Maggie Smith :)

A little trick is that you can hang your knitted jumpers outside for a while in the cold and that way it will be good as new without washing it.
An organizing video would be very relaxing but also very helpful!
