The Yule cat is a huge and vicious cat from Icelandic Christmas folklore that is said to lurk in the snowy countryside during the Christmas season and eat people that do not receive any new clothing to wear before Christmas Eve.
The other gingerbread house looks like a building in Hogsmeade, but I couldn't figure out if it was a specific one or just a generic building. I like the one you got better!
The music sheet would look great sitting on a piano over Christmas time...had hoped the cake was wind-up/magnetic and the little figure would skate about...ah well. Tfs Cherry 🎄❤️🎄
It is indeed a working tune! As far as I can tell, it is simply the melody and harmony of "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentleman". But they put magical lyrics on it ;). It's only for three voices and one would normally expect four for a chorale. So maybe it is ment for playing it on the piano and singing the top voice. Looks beautiful ! 💫
Fact for you Cherry: the reason blue makes you squint is because of its wavelength, it’s the reason the sky looks blue during the day etc. It had the shorter length and therefore carries more energy. You’re welcome ☺️
With the Christmas cake it would have been even better with the ice skating snowman actually moved (you could have like a music box mechanism that magically gets it to skate in a circle)
Agreed! We've done blue lights for years as the blue also accents the blue of the snow in shadow. We usually have silver accents with the blue. I'd like to try the bronze of Ravenclaw, but haven't found anything that really makes me happy. I have to say, I personally am not as crazy with the green and red together. I think it's a bit garish. I like green with white, red with white, and you can add gold accents, but not green and red together.
The stereotypical Christmas colours are green and red, with some golden accents. Of course eveyime decorates trees etc as he wishes but the most beautiful is the classical deep green with red… unbeatable combo!
Not too keen on the fact that on the back of the T-Shirt they have the Russian spelling of 'Kiev' rather than the proper Ukrainian 'Kyiv'. The name "Kiev" is now associated with the Russification of Ukraine & it's a tad sad (though yes - I know it's supposed to be from 1993, but the Wall had come down by then & Ukraine was its own country with government by '93). As I said - just a bit sad to see these days :(

Loved this box. I actually loved the design of the t-shirt and the cake design matches a group of snowman decorations we display every holiday season. We leave them out till February unless they are super Christmasy looking. We figure snowmen should be given January for their month, instead of sharing December with Santa. The potion with the magical snowballs are adorable and I love the ornament. Oh well, to each his own. Thank goodness, we don't all have to agree. Can't wait for the promised vlog. Happy holidays!
This word *Bouillabaisse* I think it’s pronounced as “boo-yeah-besh”. It’s a French fish soup from the are of Provence. It began at the port of Marseilles believe. (Which is an old Hellenic🇬🇷 colony called Μασσαλία/Massalía).
It's indeed a French dish from South of France. It's funny that they put it in that box, because it's not at all a Christmas dish 😅. It's pronounced "boo-ya-bess" 😊

Fabulous crate of items. Its nice to actually see someone thinking outside the box for a change. The winter theme has been the same Yule Ball items repeated for years… absolutely love the cake. Its such a cute nod to the Wizarding World that most muggles wont get… The ornament was a wonderful idea. Too… I understand your aversion to blue and that its cold.. I sometimes love a small tree decorated blue, white and silver for a frosty feel.. my tree is just a mixture of HP decorations, so the snowflake would fit in… Very cool bottle of snowballs too..fabulous item. Overall then a brilliant box.. congratulations Wizarding Trunk for giving us Unique… ❄❄❄❄❄
I'm honestly kinda surprised that Wizarding World haven't made a monthly magazine for people because I feel they would make a lot of money on that thongs. 😂 I remember in 90's or maybe early 2000's there were some magazines Potter themed to get with all that funny informations about creatures, magic history, with some games inside and other fun things and also ofcourse Wizarding Chess magazine with board and chess to collect and it was always a big hit in mh country. Wish they would bring something like that back at reasonable price, it would be fun thing to collect and read.

The music is really music with just one error. I received the same pin. Check the shirt the back has the date and location of the Yule ball on the list..fun! As a nurse I loved the key!! My Christmas tree is primarily pink gold and pearl victorian style buy I did tuck the Yule ball ornament in a place where I can see it.. my husband and I went to the ball last year to celebrate our 20th anniversary, again Fun! I don’t understand why you frequently refer to items as replicas. Isn’t everything a replica? If it’s a fictional story on a fictional set with fictional items I don’t get the reference. I suppose there would be one original for the movie set. One!

Yes, me as well. The first Salem Sisters tour shirt for that Hallowe'en was very Hocus Pocus. We did a thing with we 3 Lestranges as Hocus Pocus, I was the lovely Sarah, of course, Rabastan was Mary because we said so and Roddy was Winifred, and he loves to point at me and Rabastan and bellow "Sisters!" My top 3 favorites are the bewitched snowballs potion, the gingerbread burrow pin, and the yule ball ornament. I love the glassy winter blue color on the ornament and want it for my Harry Potter tree so it can provide some color. I am glad the bewitched snowballs is not just the indoor snowball kit in a pretty package. I love the blue color of the potion.
I agree about the LitJoy crate, I was extremely disappointed especially after so many delays. The state of one of my add on key's was disgraceful and their response was pathetic. Kind of glad they've finished now.

I think the cake should have had a wind up feature like a musical box. Not to play music but so the snow man would move around the cake. They could have added music to it for God Rest Ye Merry Hippogryph. It’s just too plain for it not to move. But super cute box! Love the hospital keys and the snowballs!
Blue is my favorite color, so I’d love that ornament. A bright clear day with snow all around the sky in places can be a bright blue like that. It’s a great color. LED lights are horrid. That’s the issue you have, not the color blue per se. LEDs are like laser beams to the eyes. The newer, higher quality ones are much better but nothing beats incandescent lights. Blue incandescent lights look nothing like their LED counterparts. On poor quality LEDs all the lights have a freakish blue hue to them that makes many sick or gives them a headache.
What the heck is Christmas cake? 😂 And I'm vehemently against blue Christmas lights. And every other kind of blue lights, tbh. It was so hard to find a proper pc without those damn blue lights. 😑
It's a very, very strong crate! As for the blue Christmas ornament, - my entire Christmas/New Year tree is icy light-blue, with matching baubles, garlands, silver star & everything!
Well to be honest with you I like Christmas cake better than mince pies and Christmas puddings ( I know you can hate me ) it’s just that my granny does not like marzipan either and rarely uses it that every year she makes my uncles favourite chocolate bun cake and also my granny puts some sort of alcohol on top of the Christmas pudding every year and then lights it and I am still an 11 year old girl so I can’t eat it anyway. I don’t know about England, but over here in America, many houses with blue lights are for folks who are Jewish and celebrate Hanukkah. It’s a way to celebrate winter holidays by using all blue, and sometimes blue and white.

I love the glassy winter blue color on the ornament and want it for my Harry Potter tree so it can provide some color.

The new/last LitJoy crate was so disappointing. In comparison this Wizarding Trunk box was excellent.
I agree about the LitJoy crate, I was extremely disappointed especially after so many delays. The state of one of my add on key's was disgraceful and their response was pathetic. Kind of glad they've finished now.

I think the cake should have had a wind up feature like a musical box. Not to play music but so the snow man would move around the cake. They could have added music to it for God Rest Ye Merry Hippogryph. It’s just too plain for it not to move. But super cute box! Love the hospital keys and the snowballs!
Blue is my favorite color, so I’d love that ornament. A bright clear day with snow all around the sky in places can be a bright blue like that. It’s a great color. LED lights are horrid. That’s the issue you have, not the color blue per se. LEDs are like laser beams to the eyes. The newer, higher quality ones are much better but nothing beats incandescent lights. Blue incandescent lights look nothing like their LED counterparts. On poor quality LEDs all the lights have a freakish blue hue to them that makes many sick or gives them a headache.

It's a very, very strong crate! As for the blue Christmas ornament, - my entire Christmas/New Year tree is icy light-blue, with matching baubles, garlands, silver star & everything!
Well to be honest with you I like Christmas cake better than mince pies and Christmas puddings ( I know you can hate me ) it’s just that my granny does not like marzipan either and rarely uses it that every year she makes my uncles favourite chocolate bun cake and also my granny puts some sort of alcohol on top of the Christmas pudding every year and then lights it and I am still an 11 year old girl so I can’t eat it anyway.

I don’t know about England, but over here in America, many houses with blue lights are for folks who are Jewish and celebrate Hanukkah. It’s a way to celebrate winter holidays by using all blue, and sometimes blue and white.
9:48 haha 🙃 funny you say that because those very same blue (or similar) LED lights are installed in cars’ headlights in America, causing everyone to go blind on the road when driving at night because there aren’t any regulations for it. 😭
Whereas soft warm lights don’t hurt your eyes and used to be installed in cars back then.
