Before raising the DORSCON alert level, sg government should send out emails to supermarkets and grocery shops to limit the purchase of all basic necessities by each customers. Some Singaporeans basically went into hyper kiasu mode, and lost their common sense. Just saw a statement by Redmart, saying that 1 single customer bought 800kg of rice in a single receipt. How ridiculous is that?

It didn’t help that the Saturday just past was also the last day of Chinese New Year (we celebrate for 15 days) so people were buying groceries for gatherings too. I felt so anxious about it all I got hives on Friday night, and in the end I said Fukkit and went to bed. Did my usual grocery shop on Mon instead. Found 80% of what I needed and just went to Great World City Cold Storage and Meidi Ya today (Wed) and found all the rest of it, including toilet rolls.
Plus I can’t wear a mask because I get so hot and annoyed, I just do my best to wash my hands often and try to stop touching my face. Just stay home and relax, that’s the best thing to do right now!

On Sunday, I went to Esso petrol Kiosk to fill the car, went in to make payment and just bought a pack of rice without any problem. It was a 10kg pack and they gave 1kg free. I did not go out much those few days but had no difficulty getting what the household needs. Only surgical mask is out of stock but I still manage to get what we did.

Planxty Davis It’s not a bidet. It is literally a spray nozzle on the end of a short hose next to the toilet; a bum gun.

ALSO: I recommend using a 1.5 litre plastic bottle as an alternative to a BumGun if you do not have one... trust me it’s quite effective

I was at Giant Tampines (the one opposite to Ikea) last Friday night, the payment queues were crazy, 3 full hours of queueing and not enough shopping trolleys to go round. Just my luck to be there because I needed to buy groceries for my 15th day of Chinese New year family gathering.

For me stocking up is not about the store running out of supplies it’s about not going to public places for as long as possible. Limited exposure to the virus is ideal for me and my family, continued shopping during a quarantine is not something I have any interest in doing.

I mean come on. Really? We Singaporeans should be better than this. I think the take away here is that people should really avoid facebook or IG for news regarding COVID-19. People should also avoid platforms like Q10 and Carousell for a while, at least until it's enough to hurt their bottom lines and their management decides to take action against these profiteers. Most probably won't happen considering how attached Singaporeans are to these.

Unfortunately panic has set in there. Masks are being worn everywhere. In Australia its not a real worry at all. I left Singapore last week. Immigration at both airports was very particular about where you had been checking all passports a few times.

It’s funny, they say one reason to wear mask is to keep people from touching face. So, I’m noticing how many time people touch nose and face out of habit. The face masks are totally out of stock at my local stores in Memphis, Tn!! I couldn’t find one for sanding my walls at the major hardware stores! I know people are buying to resell! How selfish! Stay well!
