I had some level 5 gum pockets, which I was told were not reversible, but I started using a WaterPik (Pocket Pik tip) with *10 drops of grapefruit seed extract,* for five minutes daily, and now I only have one 5 left (in the very back-it’s hard to get to). Most of my gums are now 2s and 3s instead of 4s, and they continue to get better! It works great! 🦷✨
Oh!! I also brush my teeth at night with Dr. Bronner’s bar soap, and that’s supposed to help gum health also.

You’re so welcome!! Let me know if you have any questions! I’ve got my dad and sister doing this now too, ha! I’m really happy to have a way to prevent gum disease and possibly losing teeth down the road! 🎉
The Pik Pocket tip (or one like it if using another brand), is really important for reaching the gum pockets (to reduce the size and also for prevention).

Do you use the grapefruit seed extract in your Waterpik or do you just put the 10 drops in a glass of water and swish for 5 minutes? Thank you.

Hi! I add the 10 drops to the water pik container, and then I fill it up with water. I then use the device to trace each of my gums, and this takes about five minutes. I hope this helps!

Thank you so much and yes it does. I am going to get some grapefruit seed extract and start on this also. I really have issues and can't afford all the dental visits. @@PeaceIsYeshua

Since I’ve started using one my gums don’t bleed nearly as much. Works great.

The fist with the forearm demonstrating the tooth to root shows this doctor knows what he's talking about, and how to demonstrate his example. I've learned a lot about dental work in the last few years. If you have calcium build up/plaque, this will deform your teeth, cause cavities, and make your gums bleed. I couldn't get a cavity drilled last year because my gums bleed. I had to have a deep clean on all 4 sides. I bought a water pick to keep up with my dental, and get a regular cleaning, with everything looking good. You have a bone in your mouth that deteriorates when you don't keep up with you dental, and this is why older people lose their teeth and have to settle for dentures. If you don't want to floss, use a water pick..Or lose your teeth in your 50s

Does gum disease bacteria survive mainly on sugars? If so, shouldn't intermittent fasting or a zero-sugar / keto diet make a huge difference together with the waterpik daily?

      In theory yes!

Many sources say that pointing the waterpik on an angle less than 45 (so it starts pointing into the pocket), will balloon the pocket and cause damage. These sources say to always use 90 degrees, pulsating stream and 50-90 psi.

I hate when people say you cant cure gum disease ive done research and you certainly can cure gum disease. Once all bacteria is removed your pretty much cured of the disease your gums will close off the pockets and get tighter again and all you gotta do from here is keep up on flossing and brushing and you shouldnt have problems with it again. Some people are more prone to getting it and those people need to take extra care
