- Thank you for visiting San Diego restaurants with me. The restaurant featured today is: Mr. Fish & Chips on Balboa Ave in San Diego. It opened in 1969 and remains my favorite fish and chips to this day. I noticed onion rings were no longer on the menu but they made them for me. They are the BEST and I hope they make it back on their menu. Their fried zucchini is also very good. This is a 'must try' for anyone who loves seafood. Let me know if this is also your favorite fish and chips in town.
