Thank you. I had just watched another video and didn’t quite get the last bit. Your video tied up that loose end, in the most literal sense. Lol. Thank you

I’ve been using this knot for years to very good effect. I learned it from one of Geoffrey Budworth’s books.
It’s one of those knots that your hands never forget how to make.

I'm under the impression that the bottle is supposed to be carried using both sides of the knot. The reason is that one or more tutorials I've seen refer to making the handles even.
You can do that by making the handle on the right adjustable by using sliding knots with the loose cord ends.
The other carrier I like is the one where you put the object on top of a straight piece of cord. Tie the ends in a loose single overhand knot above the object. Split the knot at the center, and move the cords down to the sides. Carry with the loose ends. The objects and knots are stackable. Ingenious.
    Another fine job! Thanks, Mark!

      It works well either way.
Geoffrey Budworth’s instructions include a way to make the loop and the ends into a self-adjusting handle.

I do not tie this knot in this way I make a man harness knot like Avon 153 rearrange the two loops and pull the middle cord into place I find it so much easier and quicker to do

Thanks for the video. I been using this sling now for a few days and it's perfect.
A while back I seen a video on how to take some cordage and use it to make handles on something like a five gallon bucket. I can not remember what it was called or how to tie it. Any suggestions?

Yeah, I'm struggling too. I feel like my cord bends and twists waaaay more than OP's does, which isn't helping me learn :P
