    You given the clearest, best demonstrations of how to tie knots that I've encountered on TH-cam. Everything from your pacing, to camera angles, to the jig you used today makes it easy to understand step-by-step. I'm awaiting my Hakens with bated breath :)

    The marlin spike he makes is quality, and super useful.

    Great demonstration and explanation, I also liked the jig for holding the paracord during the display. Bravo!

    Yours is the best knot channel. Thorough and well demonstrated, always. I've recommended you many times. Keep up the good work sir 👍

    Favorite Knot channel. So glad to have one of your video tutorials for such a confusing knot. Easy to tie, but a pain to dress properly. I have one of FCA's marlin spikes and it is a great piece, smooth with a nice weight to it.

    Thanks for the description and the jig is genius

    I always did this knot by doing a loop and loop on the same side so I make a pretzel. Then take the bottom of the pretzel and weave in in and out from one side until i get to the middle. Gold back and I got the same knot you made.

    My teacher taught me bottle knot 35 years ago. There is a simple way to do it, and it only takes about... 0.5 second. I like to show other, because I never found any one on YT to do my teacher's way, and I am not a TH-camr. Otherwise, I want to pass my teacher's way.

    That's an interesting new method for the jug sling. Hm!

    You did a video on the Ashley method of this knot, right? I thought I learned it from you.
    I've been using this knot to secure water bottles when I walk in a catwalk 100' above people, when operating spotlight for concerts and events in an arena. It works great on my reusable thermos bottles! I hang them with a large carabineer from a webbing lanyard on my belt. Works great with tie line!

    Hi!! I absolutely love your channel. U make knots more practical and the only one who tells how to actually apply the knots.
    My challenge is can u create me a vest out of paracord that I can use to add to this loop so I can use as a weight vest.

      It doesn't have to be overly complicated just paracord I can wear around my upper body and hang stuff off of

    Next time I need to retie my waterbottle I may give this method a go.

    Man, getting the inversion is so challenging to comprehend.

      I tried two of his methods repeatedly. Got the knot right just once with each. "Bring the loop down" got me. Maybe I need to practice with larger rope first.

    I've tried this multiple times and still cannot figure it out. Theres something else youre doing during or around the flip i think. I would really like to learn this

    • @gimjuncheol
      @gimjuncheol ปีที่แล้ว

      If you still struggle to flip it, the most important thing is the two sides over and under the handle of left hand side in 3:38 are 3:20 and 3:26. When you flip it, you need to leave the two on your left hand side so you'd better to not to form too long loops.
      It's hard at first if you use a thick paracord because the ropes need to rotate slightly. I hope you figured it out. Good luck.

    very slick knot but i'll just stick with using a constrictor

  • @michaw7408
    @michaw7408 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Or you could just use a constrictor knot, which you used for making tool handles in your other video.

    Another great video. Please do not create instructions with patterned rope. That's my second pet peeve. The first being not finishing the ends, leaving 1 foot of frayed inner strands.

      Watch it on your laptop. Why watch a video on a tiny phone screen? I remember people saying the screens on the old convex glass TVs were too small, as an excuse to buy a huge flatscreen. Then they start watching everything on a tiny phone screen!
