Hes driving it with an extra set of wheels/tires in the back, take all of that out and it will be even quicker and handle better without all that extra weight.
I have the R/T model Durango, 2017. Love the thing for the price, but I have to say 2 things about this video that you mentioned. 1.) The dead travel in the brake. I really think this has to do with the sheer size of the vehicle. The R/T had a somewhat worrisome brake time, and some guys have even suggested putting the Brembo setup from the SRT8 Jeep on the car. Now after watching your video, and seeing you had some dead travel still with Brembos just makes me think it's just because the car is so heavy. Not a big deal once you get past the learning curve. 2.) You said the car is pretty comfortable for a sporty SUV. I agree... but only in the front. The middle and back seats will snap your neck, that's how rigid they are. That's with an R/T so I can only imagine how much firmer the SRT setup is. The front is nice, commanding, and it's very similar to driving a Charger. The back is well behaved on smooth roads and long trips, but it is absolutely uncomfortable over potholes, raised surfaces, or uneven roads. Overall, awesome car for the money. All the German competitors cost tens of thousands more, and although they're nice.. the Durango's standard features with options is still more budget friendly. Great review!
This is a wonderful car, however i do believe that if they put the bluray system in the rear center console it would be more better and practical, i mean its for the rear occupants, they shouldve put it in the rear console atleast for the captain's chair configuration, and keep the front center console empty since the drive is most likley to always occupy the front center console
As fast a 370z .good joke this durango is way faster ! 2018 nissan 370z(nismo edition) runs 0 to 60 in 5.3 seconds and 1/4 mile in 13.7 2018 Durango srt runs 0 to 60 in 4.2 seconds.1/4 mile in 12.9 seconds.

I love how Dodge just doesn’t give a fuck about anything. “6.4 in a Durango? Sure.” “700 Horsepower Jeep? Sure” 700 Horsepower Family Sedan? Why the fuck not.” 800 Horsepower for less then $100k that you can Daily? Fuck yea.” Unless Ford can make the next GT500 as fun and as fast as the Hellcat, Dodge will be on top.
How can you review a vehicle without showing the 3rd row? It would've took you like 30 seconds to remove the tires. What you didn't want to break a nail?
Matt - You could have just pulled those stored tires in ugly garbage bags from the vehicle and set aside before shooting this video...no need of an apology then and it would have appeared more professional.
I think maybe in the next few years if they still make this SRT version of the Dodge Durango, I’ll get it for myself. Either this or the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT.

The GT model isn't terrible either. It's got the smaller V6 but still has the 8-speed tranny with paddle shifters. Decent amount of pick up for a big SUV. Better gas mileage than the V8 which helps as a daily driver. You can find gently used ones for around $25-30k.
I wish if Dodge has specific terms for each category for example 392 one category Challenger charger Durango Jeep SRT then Hellcat Dodge Charger Challenger Durango cuz if it's the same engine I want the name to be copied from the sport car which is Challenger and Charger I don't want another name that I'm not attached to for a boring SUV cuz I will make it more sexier if it's carrying the same name as the iconic Challenger and Charger 392 and Hellcat

Since the SRT comes STANDARD with 2nd ROW CAPTAINS CHAIRS , this is ONLY A 6 PASSENGER VEHICLE. 2nd row bench seat is NOT AVAILABLE in the SRT. EPIC FAIL FOR DODGE NOT TO OFFER a 7 PASSENGER OPTION. I will probably need the extra cargo w the 3rd row down 99% of the time so for me this is only a 4 Passenger SUV. Cant buy this until the 3 seat 2nd row is offered. Sorry Dodge. #EPICFAIL. Jeep Grand Cherokee at least is a 5 passenger vehicle all day long.

the Range Rover Sport has an optional third row and that Damn thing pulls!!!! The thing is not many people opt for the third row option in the Range... I think people forget that the Range Rover has a third row option. But the SRT would be a bigger and cheaper alternative. And the SRT sounds DAMN GOOD!!! I just saw a white one today in person for the first time and the driver floored it.
8:50 - something about that perspective made the infotainment look like a 20" screen and I thought "DAMN! Uconnect Gen 4 is amazing!" then I realized it was just the perspective of the shot :D
Right, so I’m trying to figure out what boxes I need to tick of the three row suvs. We have test drove almost all of them. I’ve concluded that with two kids and a dog I love to drive the Durango the most. It gives me performance with the capacity to pull a boat. Can’t say many three rows were all that fun to drive
Why is not the hellcat motor tho? Is it because they only reserve it for the jeep trackhawk? I cannot believe that a SRT product are equipped with the 392 instead of the hellcat

I'm pretty sure the 6.4s are underated also the brake pedal feel is exactly how the srt car breaks feel its identical to how you described it in my srt chrysler

2nd gen rides much better as it has a body on frame with a solid rear axle

they cannot put it in the back because the cupholder would cause a shock risk if blu ray got wet, and badd ass kids in the back would mess it up,
I think the rear console is removable. And wiring to the front seat displays would be more difficult and less reliable.

agreed and that big console is a $500 option. It makes no sense to have a 3 row suv without the 7 seat configuration available

Shifts seemed oddly slow and slippery in that car even with the ZF 8 speed. Much faster in the Jeep SRT8, Charger and Challenger.
