You’re such a beautiful soul. I had a really hard childhood and teenage years full of sexual abuse and often felt no level of safety from anyone which has left me highly anxious and in a “fear state” constantly as an adult. I watch asmr of a night & even during the day to try and wind down and I must say you’re healing some of my inner child - you have the ability to bring me so much comfort, to feel seen & heard even though I’ve never been able to have a conversation with you. I appreciate you being so vulnerable, transparent and personal with your TH-cam audience, it goes a long way, thankyou!
Oh my goodness I love this. First of all, I’ve been looking for gifts to give, so this might just be it! Secondly, I love hearing your stories and you are SO right in that we need to pass stories on. And last, I think what you said here has so much meaning. The thing about dying twice is very true and is a reminder that we do need to memorialize and remember the people who have gone before them, and that we do need to share stories or else they will be forgotten. I always ask my mother for stories of her childhood and life because it is so important to me to know things like that. I really like the candle and I’m glad you showed it. I think that might be something I start doing because honoring those people is so, so important
My first time ever commenting, but the story is too cute not to share: My granny embroidered a large table runner with holly and Berries in the year she was engaged to my granddad. Her reasoning for a runner being that she did not yet know how many kids they would have, so she did not know how large their table would be. She's the oldest of a large family and has always extended invitations to those who may otherwise be lonely over the holidays to join, so this big long runner sure came in handy! She used it for all of their Christmasses together, and then for those after my granddad's passing, so all in all for almost 70 years. She passed last autumn, and left the runner to me. It takes a place of pride in any of my Christmas tablescapes and I know she's smiling down pleased as punch that it's still part of many a celebration ❤
Thanks for sharing your family memories! Growing up, our tradition was to put my great grandmother's ornament (very old, glass ornament) on the tree as the first decoration...to me, that was Christmas! I now have that ornament and we still put that on first!
Oh, the vibes are absolutely heartwarming ♥. You have a lovely and infectious smile; plus, the kindness you radiate is wonderful. Lovely, lovely video. Merry Christmas, dear! Much love from southern Argentina
My mom had a ceramic Santa Claus which was also a music box that played Jingle Bells. It was about 14 inches high and 8 inches round. When she would bring it out each year, I would sit next to the table it was on and turn the music box crank and play it over and over. She had it many years, prior to me being born. I researched eBay and found an almost identical Santa and purchased it. I am not a fan of Temu at all but do find success with eBay when researching to find replications of things that my heart resonates with.
