Rookie mistake in the end - when the soil is hard take off side blades to increase the pressure on the soil you only need the disks on the sides when you till the rows of grown vegetation to protect it from damage. Also lower the shaft at the back of the tiller to have more anchoring effect - you will never be able to slow down this kind of machine with your own strength.
This is the worst machine i ever had
