I got a a job as a business analyst on a project by recommendation through a friend but I have no business analyst exp. but I have worked I different analytical capacities over the years. I met with the person leading the project we he didn't ask me much about what I could or couldn't do, I just told him what's on my resume, non of which was business analysis stuff. Yesterday I had a meeting about the discovery process of the project and I'm clearly the only one on this team that really out of their element. Everyone else on the team ar active experienced consultants ibut I still feel so lost lol so I'm trying to understand as much as I can so I don't embarrass myself. Cause boy. They expect me to know what I'm doing. I feel so overwhelmed and keep wanting to back out but I don't have a job, sincelike half my building was made redundant due to cheaper labour elsewhere, so I have to try to do this. I have no idea how to approach questioning about these things, not sure what to look for, what documents to have, what's the experience is like talking to clients and finding out details etc.. I've been cramming so different videos and I'm still not even sure if I'm cramming the right stuff. The project kicks off in about 4 days ..and the discovery entails process clean up for this particular project.last 7 days. Any advise?
