I use the same green Proraso but in the cream version…and of coarse with a decent Badger. I absolutely love this shaving cream. …any advantages with going with the soap version? Thanks in advance.
The soap is soft enough that badger will have no problem picking it up, also cream is basically same thing as soap just more water, technically easier to lather, but less of the lather overall.
Great video, I've been wearing stubble for years and using a beard trimmer as I found shaving with a cartridge razor or electric shaver. I went with the Proraso white preshave, green soap with their boar brush and the white balm. Razor was a Merkur 34C Heavy Duty and Merkur Super Platinum blade. Even on my first attempt following your guidance I got the best wet shave of my life. Couple of small nicks and grazes but very close and imporantly no uncomfortable burn on my neck. I am well impressed! These products and your technique are superb. Looking forward to staying smooth!

Regardless of other gear in your shave den, Proraso Green is a must have. I’m never without it and I reach for it time and again! I see the Brut and Old Spice aftershaves in the background...well done lad.
I still whack some brut on every now and then, nice clean powdery soapy scent! Proraso Green is a soap that I do really enjoy to use when I get it out, the other products they make are awesome too! cheap and cheerful with awesome results!
It’s not the best soap, as I do find it drying and lacking slickness. However, the scent, exact right, amount of menthol, and price make it essential to any den.
@@patkeating97 Lack slickness? You must be having a wrong soap / water ratio then, it's one of the best soaps you can get, especially at that price! And drying, well, that is what aftershaves are for :P All skin types are different, something as simple as oils are perfect as aftershaves.

went and got the green soap tub and got given the red cream in a tube and I'm not loving the red scent. but the green soap is amazing I've never had a menthol before that wasn't burning my face off really enjoying it
+blake hazell yeah green is easily my favourite, I'm not a fan of the red sandalwood scent. The coldest I've gone is Barroster and Mann Arctique which is mega cold. But insider have a good shave with it. Cheers Cris
In these Inflationary Times. HERE IS AN EASY WAY TO DO IT MY FRIENDs Use any hard Bar Soap, Tallow or Glycerin based Soaps out there? To fit in any Mugs or Cups? Like" (Mitchells' Wool Fat or Arko Sticks. Just to name a few of them?) You can mix and match your old Soaps? Cut up the soap on a paper plate, pour your soap chunks with the shavings from the Paper Plate into a Mug, cover the soap with a small amount of water, and microwave your soap. For about a minute or so? Place a paper plate under your mug in case it bubbles out of your cup? If it foams up, STOP. The water keeps it from burning itself up. (DON'T OVER WATER YOUR SOAP??) Easy, does it? Let cool don't want to Crack the Mugs or Cups you're using? (You just want it to Congeal in your Mug or Cup') it is very hot and watery'''''. let it cool in PLACE'. after it cools, put it in a Sunny Window, until the Soap hardens? When using your soaps, use Dry Brush Less Water. It thickens the soap, making it easier to use on your face. Save your Money, spend it on your wife, don't listen to the shave Mafia. My favourite outfield player at the time was Luis Figo and as such here i am 20 years later still supporting them at every major tournament. I always bet them to win every tournament they enter and recently they have repaid me well lol

Not really to be honest, I just prefer soaps over creams for loading the brushes etc.

Yep has a nice collong sensation with the menthol and eucalyptus. It is also a pretty nice performing soap as well!
