It's generally the hollywood who copies from indian mythology & y'all don't know about it. So when india uses its own culture, u say it's taken from "star wars" or something which isn't true at all
Its not Dune/mad max/starwars. Indian history and hindhu culture is different totally and it is true, based on Hindu ancient Scriptures( in short there were 4 phases of life on this planet), it was said, we are in 4th phase which is true and called as KALIYUGA(phase 4) is the end for life on the planet and that is the time KALKI the god incarnation of LORD KIRSHNA/RAMA will be born as KALKI and fight against the evil.
After that life on earth will start as a fresh with phase 1.
So,mad max and stuff you been talking is not a copied version,it is how the world would be at the end with no water,no trees,food etc., and as technology is so advancing every year,the technology we have seen in the movie is that advanced as you thinking it is something like Dune.
This is a small brief, the story is true and thats what will happen for the planet in future. So finally its not a copy , or a story with no meaning like mad max or some of english movies, it has lot of depth.
You should know MAHABARATHAM before wanna know what is happening for the entire universe.

So let me tell you what all you need to know from this trailer and also about things you need to know in order to understand the movie……according to Hindu puranas (ancient Hindu texts) there are 4 yugas (something like time periods each having different no of years) and now we are in the last yuga(kaliyuga) Tollywood star Prabhas is the main hero of the film playing the role bhairava , Amitabh Bachchan as aswathdhama/the guy with glowing gem in his forehead ( who is cursed with immortality by lord Krishna who is another incarnation of lord Vishnu) and he has to protect Kalki (who is the 10th and last reincarnation of lord Vishu (one of the Hindu god) who is born into this world at the end of kaliyuga and destroy evil and spread good will and harmony. And in this movie as per what’s is shown in this trailer it’s a dystopian world where there’s a place called complex in the 1st and last city of the world(kashi) where there exits the so called supreme lord yaskin (the main villain/ kali) so kali is the main villain in this movie and it’s also mentioned in ancient Hindu text and in this movie Deepika Padukone is the mother of kalki it’s aswathdama’s job to protect her and also kali is played by kamal Hassan and I also suggest you to see and get to know about important things in Mahabharata like Kurukshetra yudham(war), who are Pandavas and Kauravas, who is karna , who is ashwathdama , who is dhronacharya, who is kalki and who is Krishna
