I don't know how you do it, but you always seem to be exploring what I'm thinking about in gmod and then do a fantastic cover of it. This is really cool, putting active protection on a tank has been something I've wanted to do as of lately but had little clue where to start, and here you are with a fairly polished product not 2 weeks after I first started looking into it lmao. Great stuff as always, that modern tank of yours is becoming a beast!
Glad you find it interesting! I wanted to make one that was 100% acf, but at the end here, it might be less of a headache and more effective to make one that intercepts using props. Perhaps a custom "weapon" managed by an e2 could be fun.
@@FUNC_DEF Hey, I commend you for going as far as you did with ACF alone. Using the radar entities, the machine guns, and even the physical props that make up the turret itself is already a league of its own, so the fact that it can shoot down a fair number of missile is already insane. Even if a wire holo turret or an e2 ejected prop would be more accurate, it’s not nearly as cool as what you pulled off :)

Thanks! This one only works against missiles, but I've been thinking of adding a manual override (or a targeting radar). Definitely doable, it's just that I stopped at missiles for now.
I haven't followed missile development, like, at all... so I can't confirm that. Looking at a missile entity, they tend to have [2 armor] and [152 - 184 health]. You're very reliant on getting some sort of random detonation when striking a missile. I have heard other people say similar things about missiles being too tanky, and I'm inclined to agree (multiple hits sometimes ricochets off of a missile lol, and it just keeps going).

Yes it's RB, and actually... I don't know if the turrets are enabled there yet.
Now make a dedicated tank for air defense

i made a basic aps using a 7.62 rotary, i havent tested it recently but it used to work just fine, did they update acf so missiles have more health?
