Propagation of the moon jellyfish, aurelia aurita, from spawning to juvenile development. Original music by Fred Drake. Produced at Sunset Marine Labs.
I wonder What was prehistoric jellyfishes ancestor look like , and is it just me or is this an especially strange creature everything about this beast is freaky
Ultimately yes. The planula becomes a polyp once it settles on a hard substrate somewhere, then that polyp will start to clone to become a colony, which will eventually produce many medusas (jellies). So the jellies don't come straight from the planula, but ultimately all the jelly offspring will have the DNA of that original planula.
Advait Sapre it keeps on making clones strobila which also makes more and more exponentially and all of these create more eyphyra under temprature rise the eyphyra Eventualy taking over the ocean
the video is super interesting and informative plus the background music is haunting and beautiful, a very relaxing experience overall

Jellyfish trip me out
Very detailed compared to most other ones out here! I've noticed that some of the medusae have 6-fold symmetry.
