Saoirse is asked in almost every single interview she does, "What are the most common mispronunciations of your name?" I'm guessin' that is even more annoying than the mispronunciations themselves, LoL.
i actually don't understand the mispronunciations...i understand the spelling trips people up but once you look it up you get it. If thinking of it in a different spelling helps like i always liked the name Sorsha so you could visualize the name as Sersha.
can't reporters come up with more creative questions? Every fucking interview i've seen asks the same one. whats the worst pronunciation of your name that you have heard. very original.
It's about the only time I feel sorry for famous actors. They go on these press junkets, because they have to, and every show and every interview they do they are asked the same questions (often about a film that they don't actually like, even though they were in it).
I got a kick out of Jon Stewart's interview of Jennifer Lawrence. It was the last interview she was required to give for one of the Hunger Games films, and Stewart had no interest in the Hunger Games, or asking her any questions about it. Much to her delight.

John John Yes, but the native language of Ireland is actually called Irish, not Gaelic. Gaelic is actually a type of sport, like Gaelic football, hurling, camogie (which is basically hurling but women play it).
I thought it was Irish or Irish Gaelic as apposed to Scottish Gaelic.

The reporter said “your clearly not American” when she was born in New York left when she was 3 years old and now lives back in New York and holds dual citizenship of Irish and American I’m Irish and glad that she represents us in such a good way but the reporter was a bit rude I know she meant her accent wasn’t American but she is American as well and could’ve specified between the two just saying.
Being born to Irish parents and then spending the vast majority of her time in Ireland makes her Irish. She identifies as being Irish and as you can tell from her natural accent, she "clearly" isn't American.
