so the one that says classic is the reissue, and it sounds slightly different with less hissy high end and a different mid shape. tech 21 says that they are the same, but the sound says otherwise. love the vid mate, cheers!
@@-cobainism- thank you for watching! I have yet to get my hands on the other version. This is the first and only version I’ve encountered! Took a long time to mess around with one. 😂
@MineLikeMeMusic in my opinion, nirvana had some of the best tones, the clean reverb-y sound is nice. and the heavy distortion contrasts it amazingly.
@@MineLikeMeMusic Some people just enjoy conflict. Anyways, I think I read that Kurt tried to use his live rig for In Utero, and Steve Albini hated it. He ended up using a broken amplifier of Steve's that had broken tubes and squeaked a lot!
@60secondmusichistory I can see (or hear rather) why Albini did not like the live sound. Lol. Glad they worked things out for the album. And yeah, I always thought it was crazy they used a broken amp cuz Kurt like the sound. The end result doesn’t sound like a busted amp to me. The sound of that album is just 🤌🏻
Absolutely nailed those tones! Totally agree about the iconic-ness of the guitar sounds on In Utero

Nirvana is the last band on the planet that I would want to recreate a guitar tone from
🤣 fair enough. But what tones would you want to recreate?

@@brassmonke. Completely agree. The nevermind tone is great but the in utero tone is 🤌🏻.
