I do, becuase in a strong wind it (the tent) will blow away. I like these tents, but I have a pop-top campervan and we have had to lower the roof in high winds but we can sleep 'downstairs'. In a car you will have sleep in the car, Roof tents are still a good idea if you only have a car.
@tooyoungtobeold8756 that’s very true, I do need to think of a in car set up just in case I get caught in some really bad weather.

I would like to ask you a very important question if I may.
I was thinking of having a roof tent, to cut a long storey short i was told that my car would not be able to support one?
I have a Hyundai Tucson.
Hey Ray, I had a similar issue with getting the right bars for my car to support it, so it took a bit of research on my part. Have you contacted Tentbox direct? I spoke to them when I was looking into it and they were really helpful. Here’s there email if you need it support@tentbox.com. Let me know how you get on 😃
@@Leeoutdoors85 HI Lee, thanks for getting back. when i put my car in for a service at Hyundai garage i asked them about a roof tent, they were not to sure so i think they asked people from Hyundai, it was them that said it would not support one?? i am not sure if they meant the bars one the roof or the roof its self??
@@raybriggs4529 the TentBox site has a roof bar search function where you put in your reg and it tells you what cars are compatible. I went through Thule as I couldn’t find the my ones on the TentBox site. Then I just checked my roof load for stationary and travelling which I found in the log book to make sure it could support the weight. This was obviously at my own risk but I’ve been ok so far 🫣

Hey thanks for the comment, yeah like I said in the video I’m new to fishing and wasn’t 100% sure, I think your good to fish in the sea without a license but you may need permits for certain areas which is what confused me. Although you seem to need a permit or license for everything these days which is why I was unsure 😄
