Hey guys PLEASE STOP STOP BAD MOUTHING this gentleman! I think he's doing FANTASTIC JOB!!! Everyone does things their " own" way! Personally I ve actually learned from him !! I DONT enjoy people BAD MOUTHING people especially when you don't know them ! To the gent WELL DONE ..IL be watching MORE but let me know when you make more vids THANX
hello buddy i wanna try reballing my iphone touch chip on the iphone but i need a microscope is the binocular microscope better then the camera microscope u need to use a lcd to view
They do go open. They can develop high "equivalent series resistance" ESR. They can develop leakage ranging from in specification to out of spec but undetectable malfunction all of the way to shorted. They can suffer a reduction in capacity usually accompanied by increase in ESR. Look into ideal component characteristics versus real components which all have resistance, capacitance and inductance. Good luck!
Sometimes rows of caps are of same value so you can measure the one next to it with cap meter. You can guess by measuring other caps on board and seeing most common values. It's all just educated guesses though.
That depends, when checking it outside the board then big yes, yes …but when connected to the board you should be careful and check the power rail where the cap is connected
@@jbvtechnologies Sir , I have a capacitor that I checked outside the board , it gives no reading at all wether it is in diode mode or in resistor mode . is the capacitor dead ?
"You can see that It's tracked" "You can see a big "track". What does "tracked" mean? Then you say, "bent, bent, bent" Where is it bent? I see solder blobs on the ends.

Title correction: 'How to identify shorted capacitors, you desolder them and test if shorted.'
I think you are missing the point to inject voltages.
Whats the point? I am just trying to learn.
good luck with kahpacitas. great vid
Is this using diode mode?
What about in circuit test

Still sometimes we can't see with naked eye, when the crack is in bottom of capacitor
Some times the ceramic capacitor gives short to ground on the board and there's no problem in the board can you tell us about that case.
Thanks
Yes, some power rails are connected to a pch, cpu and graphics chip, those chips have low resistance to ground…

Thanks brother for the information 🙂
bro nice video.
do we have any thing like "open capasitors"
no we dont have

please how can i get a schematics
What happens to a board when a capacitor is shorted?
- Over heating
- Board failure to turn on
- Some components fail
Where may i find the circuit of a CPU? I have to identify an smd capacitor of a intel core 10980XE. HELP ME PLS
How would we identify the value of a capacitor that's shorted so we can replace it with a new one ??? Any help would be greatly appreciated guys ☺️
You kinda screwed. I don't think you can figure that out.
You'll need a schematic or donor board.
Samee
sometimes you can find example circuits of ic's in which you can tell the different capacitors used

using capacitance meter or smd tester or if you dont have replace with the same size
Didn't understand a word u said 😅😅😅but interesting 😅😅
So you are saying that if the multimetre beeps when check for continuity then that means the capacitor is short, is that right?
That depends, when checking it outside the board then big yes, yes …but when connected to the board you should be careful and check the power rail where the cap is connected
@@jbvtechnologies thnks bro..like your video

It would be better to show us how to identify when caps are still on the board.
how do you test a longed capacitor
Lol
You from south Africa bcz I here from you iiibo
ini baru mantap, bisa di ke bahasa indonesia kan walau hanya tulisan.
cool !!
Good sir
Bro is high and still recording tutorials
Very interesting thanks 👍
Don't understand what you said
Good

He meant burnt not bent
@@BrownBoiTech thank you
Voice is not clear. Please talk little louder.
it's clear for me. turn up your speakers.
You are talking too much come to the point soon
I didn't enjoy this video. You didn't do what the title says.
Waste of time.....
