My brother was a United States Marine. He pass away 2 yrs ago with throat cancer. His family have and lawyer and we are still waiting for a settlement. It’s really sad how the united state can give all this money for immigrants and forget bout the people that fought for ur country! How sad 😔…
Thank you for this story it helps all of us affected by the government. There are too many editing for help. I too lost my husband after waiting 2 years for a settlement. Please continue to tell OUR stories.
Camp Lejeune cocktail survivor here - so far. A little math here, started in 1953 (?) got found out in 1982 (29 years), supposedly fixed in 1987 (?), 34 years. Once the well is poisoned, it can't be unpoisoned. I received 2 letters in 2013 or 14. First one stated Camp Pendleton and Lejeune. Got a second one just saying Lejeune. I was at Courthouse Bay 2nd Trax from '83 to '85 - second hitch. What they don't tell you is that we showered in that stuff, drank that stuff, the chow hall cooked with that stuff, I fiendishly drank coffee made from that stuff. So we're at 34 years of trying to fix a cover up. 26 years between 1987 and when we were told that they poisoned us. 34+26= 60 years! Covered up for 60 years. Personally, I think they knew about it way before it was reported and let everyone who kept mum about it, die off so there's nobody left to court martial for incompetence, dereliction of duty and ignoring the safety of Marines and personnel that were affected by these multiple leaks. I used to work at a full serve gas station years ago. We had to "stick" the tanks every morning and night so we could see how much gas we needed to order. You mean to tell me, no one in charge wondered where all this stuff in leaky tanks didn't wonder where it was disappearing to? BTW, I've got a degenerative digestive system and have had "A whole bunch of mini-strokes." My neurologist's exact words. I stopped counting at 12 mini strokes when he was showing me the pictures from the MRI.
Yes, Thank You for sharing your story, I agree, both the Democrats and Republicans don't care about Veterans. None of them deserve Veterans votes. The PACT Act is no other than a pack of bull sh**t and false hope for compensation. Despite the existence of the PACT Act and the Camp Lejeune Justice Act, the dam VA is still denying Veterans claims. It was all a political campaigning to get votes.
They knew about it in the mid 50s and possibly in the late 40s but. It was covered up the whole time, scientists told the Navy and the Navy said to keep it quite.
@@ChrisLichowicz Thank You Brave Soldier for your kind time in writing and sharing your experience. The Navy continues to cover up also the Camp Penalton Toxic water, that I understood was worse than in Camp Lejeune. Why the Nany has not passed also the Camp Penalton Toxic Water Justice Act? Hopefully because those in Washington DC are either dead or suffer from alsimer disease and can't remember the Camp Penalton Toxic Water.
Served on Camp Lejeune 1974 to 1976 when I was 17 & 18 years old and have been unable to hold a job since my discharge from Camp Lejeune in 1976. I've been existing on a low-income 'unemployable' pension from VA since 1978 that is 'below the poverty level'. I complained about the taste of the water to my superiors while there at Camp Lejeune, but was told that was because I was from Detroit and I "was just used to drinking "Yankee-water!" I've got a 'laundry list' of medical problems to contend with. My entire life (17 to 67 now) has been compromised and the Department of the Navy has been dragging it's feet. I'm ineligible for Social Security having never put together a 'work history', or even SSDI, because enlisting when 17 years old requires 'emancipation' from your parents. I've never been above the poverty level my entire adult life!
Hey there, I'm reaching out to see if there's any update on the BSA. It's been nearly 3 months since I last heard anything. I've reached out multiple times but haven't received any responses. Having to deal with this past trauma for almost 4 years has been stressful, and not hearing back from you has only added to my anxiety. Please provide an update as soon as possible.
Thank you AVA Law for representing my parents and I. Hopefully things will be sorted sooner than later. 🙏
You want to see real change and quickly in regards to this I’m praying for President Trump..

You really expect the navy and doj to actually do anything except drag their feet on this... 😂
