There's also a set of On Input System Event nodes that work with the new input system. Sometimes you have to go edit > project settings > visual scripting > and then there's a button that's like rebuild or refresh or something like that? Then you don't need to use update or bind it to certain keyboard inputs, instead it uses the action maps for the new system (and you can just use the input map it generates for you).
Nice video, is there any visual scripting tutorial that starts from building the UI, start screen with options then how to put levels or 3d platforms, add character etc etc??
Hi, I’m teaching myself visual scripting and I’m using this video as one of my teaching tools, but I’m having issues with getting the square sprite object to move left and right, as shown in the video. As in the video, I have all of my nodes connected correctly, as shown in the video, but my Rigidbody 2D Set Velocity node is highlighted in red at the top and bottom of the node, as if I’ve connected something wrong. Is there any way I can post a picture of what I have and make some constructive criticism?
You did the right thing. Visual scripting is useful for people who don't want to code and would rather just drag and drop nodes to try their game ideas.
it’s annoying only to YOU I think it’s awesome. if you don’t like it go somewhere else because that comment was annoying. and so are you clown. @jameshood790 🤢🤮🤕🤡

Awesome video, try to decrease the SFX volume for the swooshing. It's quite loud 😅
Looking forward to more content! :)
Thank You for the feedback. Will make the adjustments in the upcoming video this week.
This is cool. I wonder if it saves time to simply learn the coding language rather than manipulating and connecting all these boxes though.

Maybe.
This is a VERY good video for beginners like me, but the only downside is that you can fly like in flappy bird if you spam spacebar.
I deliberately left some room for improvement so that people can find the flaws and try fixing them on their own. This is part of learning.
The set velocity node is missing from my script graph. I only see "set linear velocity" and "set anglular velocity" :(
yeah me too did you figure it out
Would be interested to receive voucher and try Logic Forge?
I almost feel like this is more complicated than C#?
Ngl this is much faster than gamemaker
Im really strugling to understand why humans arent doing this since the beggining... but maybe I think this becacuse I'm dislexyc

I guess I’m a noob for a noob video
thank you
I'm glad this is helpful.
You are going way too fast for people who never used this to keep up. Good vid though
The subtitling with 2-3 words at a time is very annoying.
Sorry for that, I'll make sure to improve the subtitle for the next videos. Thank you!
I find it extremely helpful because I'm dyslexic and it allows me to read one word at a time rather than a whole mountain
