Hi, I’m teaching myself visual scripting and I’m using this video as one of my teaching tools, but I’m having issues with getting the square sprite object to move left and right, as shown in the video. As in the video, I have all of my nodes connected correctly, as shown in the video, but my Rigidbody 2D Set Velocity node is highlighted in red at the top and bottom of the node, as if I’ve connected something wrong. Is there any way I can post a picture of what I have and make some constructive criticism?

Hey, there's a variable named "jumpForce" of value 70 in the script machine that serves as the max jump height.

This is cool. I wonder if it saves time to simply learn the coding language rather than manipulating and connecting all these boxes though.
You did the right thing. Visual scripting is useful for people who don't want to code and would rather just drag and drop nodes to try their game ideas.

Problem is this makes EVERYTHING in my scene glow, not just 1 object
For making only one object glow in your scene, you need to use Shader graphs. I am working on a video where I will also teach how you can use shader graphs to make selected objects glow and not the entire scene.

Like this I can't move my player on the platform, it's like stuck, and Unity gives me an error:"cannot set the parent of the gameobject 'Player' while activating or deactivating the parent gameobject 'platform' "
Make sure that you are creating the script machine on the empty game object inside the Player game object. If you follow all the steps, it'll work just fine.

Make sure you are using Unity version 2021 or later. Visual scripting is already included and you'll be able to search for script machine. Also make sure you have selected the game object when you are searching for the script machine
Nice. It was clear. consise and easy to follow. The only thing I might have liked to have seen is a little on the whats and whys of the things I'm clicking on.

Hello!. I am following your videos that I think are very well explained. Something happens to me with this one... I place the nodes as you explain them step by step, but in the end it doesn't work for me, the platform keeps slipping under the player's feet... Curious thing, if I deactivate the On Trigger Exit 2D, if it works but it reduces the size of the player and the platforms disappear O_o what could it be due to?
I already solved the problem. In case the same thing happens to someone, I will post how I solved it: It happens that since the graph script converts the player into a child of the platform, if the Sprite had previously scaled, the player was also automatically scaled. So the solution was to create a platform sprite of the exact size required. And in the end the On Trigger exit did not work because the Groundcheck box collider was very small and when the character stood up he left the collider area of the platform so the Trigger Exit was automatically triggered, the solution was as simple as increasing the size from the groundcheck collider to go over a bit downwards.

@@mariatansil6321 Yes, the problem that happened to me is that I made the groundcheck of the platform too thin, so when the character was positioned on top of it, its signal went through the area of the groundcheck collider, leaving it inactive. To solve the problem I made the Groundcheck box collider thicker down so that it touches the character's sign, recognizes it and can move next to the platform.
