My brother thank u so much for that amazing job you did on my box real happy ! What an amazing job this baby is back to life completely restored your the best of the best of all times ! God bless you & God bless your love ones ! Keep rocking 💪🥊
Somebody did a sloppy job on the hot wire. And did they not mention they removed parts? I can hardly wait to send my Palomar TX75 and have you do your thing on it. I hope to see some good power from it. I am very new to pills. But have learned a lot in a few days. In the future, I will attempt to build myself a 2 pill. But that will not happen anytime soon.
@@1883GotDown Something I didn't think about before. Have you ever tried "low temperature solder" also called low melt to remove the transistors without having to lift their tabs? If you haven't, i can mail you a stick to try. You only use a drop of it, head up the connection add a small bit and the connection stays liquid for perhaps 5; seconds.
I lot of work. But came out good. Buyer beware from eBay !! That could easily become a true DX 500V with a few more parts. Looks like my DX 500 I took in traid. Blown pills broken meter . Blown parts. The switches were good but some lamps blown. I put #73 auto lamps in. they fit but a tad loose. dab of RTV done. I put KDS 301 NC 140F thermal switch whear driver went. I put RCA jack for PTT line. Done threw a optocoupler. Just a few MA of current to ground on RCA jack and keys. Great SSB. Haven't used it in years .Thermal switch in series with PTT line. If you want to do that thermal protection with keying circuit. Just break power side to relay. amp gets hot relay drop out . I have put in on POS leat to power switch but turns off the whole amp . If you want the receive amp part to work when HOt then has to be done ar relay side. You could just lift a transistor lead of keting transistor to do this. Whatever easest . 73

I find a small bit of fresh solder makes it easier to suck out the old stuff. Try it next time.
Indeed I did do that in the other one cause there was no flux on the board.... very effective idea brother
