    Power abusing officers are bad news but when the inspectors cover for them and make up charges it is something else.
    I will be revisiting from time to time and urge any other auditors or Darlington residents to go and take some pictures because this chap and his thug officers seem intent they will carry on finding excuses to arrest anyone that is not intimidated by them.
    Always live stream if visiting this station
    We need the police at this station to accept they are there to help and protect us not throw their weight around with law abiding citizens to enhance their egos because they think they will not be held accountable! Get out there and audit via live stream so they cannot take your evidence to keep them out of trouble!

    If the police don't want people to see/film inside the yard, build a screen. Safe in a police station- how many people have died in police custody.

      To date there have been 1,796 deaths of people in police custody or otherwise following contact with the police in England & Wales since 1990.This figure includes deaths in police custody or following other forms of contact with the police, as well as vehicular pursuit deaths, and rti's (road traffic incidents).

    As someone who is associated with the Police its a simple "Yes" you can record anything and anyone from a public space, regardless of whether you're filming people or objects inside a private place. I don't understand why thousands of officers are so ignorant to the fact that there is no expectation of privacy in a public place and if there was a "threat" then Parliament and the government would do something about it, yet they don't share the same paranoia that these officers have. This officer is tipped toed his answers about filming police vehicles inside a private area from a public footpath, its a simple Yes, you can do that as much as you want. I hope you continue doing what you're doing, when I interact with the public who are filming they have every right to do so and no law prevents them from doing this.

    I'm an ex pat Brit living in Australia. Moved here in 1975 and am horrified by the stories I see on TH-cam about police abuse in UK. The police here in Australia
    carry guns and are less scary than the British Police. What happened to the good old British bobby as seen in Dixon of Dock Green. (Old TV series from 1960's).
    Keep up the good work exposing corruption. Look forward to your next expose.

    • @davidross6574
      @davidross6574 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@deanwallace4432 On reflection Dean, I now believe that the comments I made at the time of this video were premature.
      Having seen the evidence of Australian police brutality on social media this past year, I am now of the opinion that police the world over are all the same.
      There are, no doubt, some good police, but the pandemic has shown the true colours of many police in countries like the UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, USA, etc, etc.
      Stressful times brings heroes and ratbags to the fore. Unfortunately, during the pandemic, we seem to have seen more of the ratbag element in the police than the hero.
      Let's only hope that this pandemic is soon over with and that life can return to some semblance of normality.

    The issue about filming number plates that the police don't want known is that they can't stop them being filmed, but they can request that the plate be blurred out. The act of filming can never be stopped, but the publication of the footage can be covered by copyright, trademark, privacy, legal, etc issues. As for the police not wanting the number plates to be known, that's a joke as all criminals in the area will have told their mates the moment the car is used. And if the cars are used to monitor normal members of the public, do the police really think that any viewer of the video will make a note of the plate just in case they see it sometime in the future. As if they can do that when the thousands of other plates that they see. I like to log number plates, but it takes even me multiple occurrences before I remember the plate. The reason is like that of asking not to film in the lobby because people could be reporting crimes - who reports a crime by walking to a police station which is likely to be closed and miles away, you're 100% more likely to do it by dialling 999 or 101. The only time people turn up at a police station is to answer bail, pickup "stolen" property, pickup recovered property, and occasionally for voluntary interviews none of which requires the divulging of personal information beyond name.

  • @paulraper1
    @paulraper1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    You will never get a straight answer from an ego tripping cop, who will know all about the incident, just like everyone else at the station will. If he gives the correct lawful answer of yes, then he's admitting it was a false arrest, also he would lose his domineering position in the discussion and that could never happen. They're like politicians, when they don't like the way a conversation is going they will talk bollocks rather than lose face, their ego and self importance won't allow it.

    It's got nothing to with options or positions or stances or even but hurt feelings
    The LAW Sic BLACK & WHITE I thought
    If you do this or that which is written down in books of LAW you will be breaking the LAW but if you answer back with intelligent answers or questions the police shouldn't get but hurt.
    I believe there is cream for that ! ! !

    10:10 And did Salman Ramadan Abedi use a camera to "case the joint"? Nope. He did everything to hide in plain sight and it was due to the incompetence and bad training of the police and security that he got away with it.

      And no, it wasn't the first time that a bomb had been set off in a public place. The IRA did it many times. And the point about the first time that gets lost by police and security is that terrorists and criminals will always do something "the first time". It's part of the war between them. The terrorist will do something. The security forces will stop it. The terrorist will do something different. The security forces will stop it. The terrorist will change tactic. The security forces will stop it. Ad infinitum. The security forces always play catch up with terrorists.

      @@TheSadButMadLad the term terrorism was first used to describe government. False flags is one of their specialties and they have and do work with so called terrorists. The IRA at the very top and then some were informers for the crown forces. Let that sink in for a moment.

    • @mancunioner
      @mancunioner 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheSadButMadLad well obviously. You need evidence to arrest people. Its extremely difficult getting proactive evidence to stop terrorism without it infringing any human rights cos if it does and it goes to court, the guy walks free and then commits the attack anyway
