Anybody complaining about how hard he set the hook has never fished at that lake before! A lot of times your only chance at landed those DDs is to get that head moving on the hook set if not they will man handle you!
Man wanted to send that fish to the other side of the lake. Why would someone set the hook that hard

Have you considered not setting the hook like a mad man

Haha the bass was running hard to the right so I set it to the left and it was under a laid over log. Opposing forces
Lol, i have noticed a lot of people setting the hook for a 2lb bass as if its a 400lb grouper 😂
If you have never snapped a rod, or lost 700 bucks worth of gear to the depths then you haven't fished enough.
In that price range, they have a pretty good warranty.
I’ve had it for years. They don’t even make the white ice anymore
