The thing about Opeth is that it's really hard to choose what's your favorite album. They're all amazing and so rich in everything.
Probably the best rock/metal band in the world these days, imo. Along with Pain of Salvation, Porcupine Tree and Tool. All at the top for me.

You can't get better than this. This album happens to you, and you realise it's unbeatable in variety and quality. Cheers, and congratulations for discovering Opeth. I'm also not a fan from the first hour. I saw them live for the first time five years ago, and I was sold.
I don't fake it either. Opeth...What else can you say.
My favourite opeth album closely followed by pale communion.

Opeth do have instrumentals and they are awesome! You should definitely check out "epilogue" or "ending credits" two of the best instrumentals by Opeth
Id say goblin and Marrow of the earth are petty killer too.
