mm i think instagram is just dead. my recommended page is 90% irrelevant to the niche i engage in. I go to the dedicated Music tab and NONE of the posts are music-related, the same with hashtags. It's a challenge in itself to find content worthy of engagement!
Worst, when your interest stops in something you were consuming hard and hoping to see on the explore page and never was, starts to show that niche everywhere after.
Once I stared following your advice my account finally started growing after a year of very little more or less being stagnant. I was guilty of blaming the algorithm but it really was my fault for not being consistent
What you're explaining is just... well, what you do to grow your account. You interact in your niche. Nothing new. I actually do that kind of community management for other accounts as a business as well.

TH-cam has lowered the minimum video length for mid-role Ads down to 8 mins = a TH-cam is allowed to put advertisements wherever he‘d like in his video which is good. Another thing may be audience retention time optimization 👉 leads TH-cam's algorithms to increase your video's ranking. Hope this helps
