The Total War Warhammer Games are based on Warhammer Fantasy which is pretty much just Earth with magic and Tolkien races (dwarfs, orcs, elves, etc.). It is different from the Sci-fi universe of Warhammer 40k, which includes the Space Marines of normal and chaos variety (if it has horns and spikes it's a chaos marine) and different regiments of Imperial Guardsmen. Cadia was a planet that got destroyed in a giant battle and the residents and those trained in the same doctrines as them are pretty much the vanilla human soldier of the setting.
I love Warhammer Fantasy
🤓. Is what I would say if I didn't agree with you
it is SO much different than a rehash of middle earth
@@nomercyinc6783 I didn't say rehash of middle earth, it's races which Tolkien really pushed into the mainstream but with their own lore, origin, culture, etc etc.
It's to bad this isn't Warhammer 40k vs starwars. Instead it's Warhammer fantasy vs starwars. Starwars wouldn't even have a chance vs Warhammer 40k. Unless you picked the absolute worst 40k unites. Let's face it the only Warhammer 40k units there are the imperial guard and the only way they win fights is by out numbering there opponent and by the use of there vehicles. Put a couple of baneblades in there to even out the fight.
Dude just called blood ravens chaos. Tut tut tut
Heresy! Call the inquisitors and the Sisters!
I mean if the shoe fits. The frequency to its members which are warp touched would be suspicious to any trained inquisitor
Funny - those marines with chainswords you call "chaos" are actually "Black Templars" - probably the most fanatically loyal chapter of Space Marines... Lorweise - I can see them fighting Jedis as Black Templars see any psychic powers as "evil witchery".
Year totally loyal
I'm not the only nerd
@@Crazyformodels-cq5kd no you are not brother
I'm pretty sure the "Chaos" spacemarines he talked about were Blood Ravens.
Blood ravens chaos...everyone is chaos!
"Tolkien's universe on steroids."
YES
I agree a 100 percent on this one.
Warhammer is just LOTR but in the future
@@gamerstheater1187kinda
@@gamerstheater1187not 40k though
Since you asked Daley, it looked like those were Imperial guardsmen, Blood Raven Space Marines, Black Templar Space Marines, and the 3rd ones were actual Chaos Space Marines. I could probably write several paragraphs easy on each.
Also the "hacksaws" are chainswords, aka a chainsaw and a claymore had a baby, so you can cut things while also cutting things. All the other units are either Warhammer Fantasy or Warhammer: Age of Sigmar are not connected to 40k except for sharing the same "Hell" type of realm. I'm not well versed in the fantasy versions
Blood Ravens: Loyalist. Black Templars: Loyalist. Chaos Marines (I believe they’re either World Eaters or Word Bearers): HERETIC, KILL IMMEDIATELY.
40k is specifically sci-fi, Total War Warhammer is "Fantasy", but both are "Warhammer", having started as tabletop games made by Games Workshop. Not technically the same universe, although certain ideas do transfer between the two.
Also, those trenches were murder for the chainsword armed space marines.
Oh, and yeah, those "hacksaws" are actually "chainswords", which is the lovechild of a sword and a chainsaw. For when your violence isn't violent enough!
Also the club...
Also the club. Your average chainsword is over a metre of metal, chain, engine and adama tium teeth.
So just using power armour and it as a club is deadly.
Curious how it would have turned out if there was no trenches to stop the melee units
Absolutely
Yeah, their where entire groups of melee marines who where stuck being stood as bullet spoung3s due to clogged crossings.
@@alexh3974 tbh they may die faster due to the amount of jedi
Curious to so if it was a actual SW v Wh40k. Keep the trenches give SW the battlefield advantage.
Ko
You gotta to it again without the trench. That thing really held up the melee.
Stormtroopers in the movies: dies to blunt arrows
Stormtroopers here: VIOLANCEEEEEEEEEEE!
Almost like the have been given boosts to ensure they win....
LETS GOOOO. A GREAT BATTLE.
Chainsaw swords.
Looks primitive but they are quite the stuff in 40k world
Aight. You mixed up warhammer 40k and warhammer fantasy units. The spess mehreens are 40k, the guys with the T-shirts and flashlights are 40k, the dragons are fantasy, the spear guys are fantasy, the crossbow guys are fantasy, and the dwarves are fantasy.
To distinguish between the two:
"Warhammer Fantasy is Lord Of The Rings on a cocktail of steroids and GBH. And Warhammer 40000 is the above on a cocktail of every drug known to man and genuine lunar dust, stuck in a blender with Alien, Mechwarrior, Starship Troopers and Star Wars, bathed in blood, turned up to eleventy billion, set on fire, and catapulted off into space screaming WAAAGH! and waving a chainsaw sword."
- TVTropes, This Is Your Premise On Drugs
(Spess mehreens = space marines - the funny spelling is because of a popular meme within the 40k fandom from one of the Dawn of War games. The T-shirts and flashlights are because the Imperial Guard - now called the Astra Militarum - has equipment that is just inadequate for the universe's craziness.
Of course, their flak armor (the T-shirts) is by far superior to our armor, and their lasguns (the flashlights) are better than any rifle we have. So why are they inadequate? When you're going up against beams that disassemble you atom by atom, monomolecular shurikens, fully-automatic rocket-propelled grenade launchers, basically plasma weapons, living bullets that burrow into your flesh, and storms of bullets bigger than your hand, you're gonna need something a teensy bit beefier. When you're trying to pierce suits of ceramic power armor that can stop the above weapons, take down sapient football hooligan murderhobo bioweapons, hit a space elf that moves faster than your eyes can process, kill a literal demon, get rid of Space Egyption zombie terminator ripoffs that come back from the dead, and/or get through chitin that can stop artillery shells, you need something more powerful.
That power comes from their mechanization. The billions and billions of conscripts (per system usually) are literally there just to hold the line while their city-sized tanks and artillery do the dirty work. Sure, they may score a few kills with the sheer energy of millions of laser pulses, but that's just a side bonus.
Wow, I went of track real fast.)
40k is a completely different universe to total war
It's the same universe but in an isolated warp bubble due to caldor draigo going to the total war /aos universe (age of sigmar)
@@XD-Intrepid yeah I guess but it's kinda not aswell
@@joshnelson1515 it's got all the same characters though that's why it can't be a different universe
@@XD-Intrepid it's also in the warp were everything gets fused together like a big hogpog so you could say that star wars is connected but it's not. It plays no real importance to the lore of 40k and is like its own contained universe. So yes technically it is in 40k its a completely different thing
@joshnelson1515 I only said it because it features specifically in the law starwars is clearly in no way connected to 40k I watched a whole video on this subject though and will send it in here
Here is the full video that i watched but it may just be a little dated but the best one to describe my thought process i think
th-cam.com/video/2t8S1aBR_Kw/w-d-xo.html
40k backup units crossbow men, star wars back up units are jedi , totally fair
every time i see "every warhammer arm
Hahaha dudes with hacksaws. Those dudes are the black templars my man
It would be so cool if they had the primarchs in this
Or Karl Franz and Vlad von Carstien
Someone did an AI voiced thrawn giving an assessment of a 40k Imperial expedition into their galaxy that explains it well
The main problem was the Warhammer side having more of its stronger dudes being mellee only, many black templars and chaos berserkers died standing above a trench, not moving
An open field battle would probably have more consistent results than a trench filled map
Something I've noticed is whoever made the SW units massively overtuned them. Long range, high damage, relatively high health, fast rate of fire.
To be fair everyone in starwars usses plasma the thing that cn counter terminator armor
@@demonic_myst4503ah yes plasma that wepion that’s puts terminators on a 3+ save
@@trajan4770 in lore plasma is great against even terminator armor and plasma marines are anti terminator as much ad any infantry can be
@@demonic_myst4503 that great though not exactly useful overall with an accuracy of 1% and armour resistance of a teddy bear with a sharpened stick.
@@backupplan6058 thats lore vs shown in lore alao only storm troopers clones had shown great aim in the clone wars shows
But lore wise both agorm troopers and clone troopers have perfect aim storm troopers are top trained special forces not average soldwirs their on par with irl dekta force or sas if taking training and so on but droids be more an issue if had actual full droid army ones get passed b1 and b2 they get pretty dangerous from the films droidakas to the b3s snd droideka sniper varient , the crab droids or even on exstreme ends the bx and ig series battledroids that could fight jedi and still have chance to win But none of that really compares to the reality that a bolter would tear through most star wars units acept for droidika shields due to the fast they block anything moving faster than a specific speed but clones developed a method for that slow roll a emp grenade through the shield works
Fun fact Tolkien did actually have werewolves, not sure about vampires but he definitely had werewolves
he had vampires
Sauron was their master before the fall of Morgoth.
If you did this with relative numbers there'd be maybe one Jedi, at most ten of each of the other Star Wars units, against about a million guardsmen. WH40k is an entire galaxy of worlds, each with their own military, but the most common unit is the Imperial Guardsman. Some of the planets have their own version of this unit, like Cadia, but they mostly follow a similar format around a lasgun (blaster rifle), cloth uniform with a helmet and the equivalent of military body armour. There are probably trillions of these guys throughout the galaxy.
Those are chainswords
total war warhammer shouldn't have been included in my opinion. Also, the red ones with birds on their shoulders you called chaos marines are blood ravens that are imperial space marines
I'm ok with seeing Warhammer fantasy units but maybe not this battle, because they were way to outmatched
I want to mention there’s a series of Star Wars vs Warhammer 40k
Never realized how much I wanted to see Jedi fight a dragon.
The amount of blood on the battlefield ... Blood For The Blood God. Skulls For the Skull Throne.
i love this map. do you think we can see more of it? melee armies going at each other and filling up the trenches and falling into them would be awesome. or even ranged units fending off hordes of enemies. though i do prefer the ranged units to be able to move
If this happend in the Warhammer universe the space marines would have friendly fired there own men also if all the Warhammer space marines joined together they would be one of the most powerful and one of the largest army's ever.
Now these but with actually supported infantry, bring in the tanks and artilery and such
I feel smaller battles in the 1000s would be better. Maybe a battle between space marines and guardsmen versus clones/storm troopers and Jedi.
Brothers and sisters of the imperium we have a heretic
Cadia was an Imperial planet that was destroyed in a famous last stand but they produced one of the most powerful imperial guardsmen units
Edit: and on average 40k units especially Space Marines are by far way more powerful than the average star wars unit (and they are things and people and Warhammer who are thousands of times better then space marines)
Edit2: And the "chaos" space marines (Edit to the Edit: specifically the ones at the end) I am pretty sure are the Black Templars which are a loyalist Space Marine Chapter
Cadia fell before the guard did!
@@murielarundel5511CADIA STANDS!!
Pretty sure they where the blood ravens from dawn of war
edit and yeah the black templars at the end
@@XD-Intrepid ya probably should have specified which ones I was talking about
@@stormtroopercaptain1405 cos he said chaos marines twice about both of them
i wish the game adds a rewind feature or maybe mods will do that. the problem with big battles is you cant be everywhere at once so i would watch the battle from one side and then rewind and watch it from somewhere else. though that means every battle would be like ten hours of watching ig
The “hacksaws” are called Chainswords, the “Chaos Legion” is actually are Blood Ravens (A Blood Angels successor chapter I think) The “spooky cool guys” are World Eaters, chaos marines who serve Khorne.
The black armor space Marines with the chains words and white shoulder with black symbol are called black templars, some of the farthest from chaos Marines you could be, just fyi
You did have some chaos marines but the ones in black with black crosses are black temples. The red ones with the raven with a blood drop are blood ravens which are a space marine chapter. The blue are ultra marines. As far as statistics speak the Warhammer universe is a universe embroiled by a war that has never ended the imperium has been on the defense for well over 10,000 years. The Cadian guardsmen are one of many imperial guard regiments and by far one of the most decorated regiments in the imperial guard having been on the Frontline of the eye of terror up until Abandon the Despoiler ran a black star station into the planet destabilizing the core. But the Cadian are seen as a Martyr the most popular quote being "The Planet Broke Before The Guard." The survivors comment that even as the fractured planet sunk into the eye of terror they could still see lasgun fire from the planet surfaces. Overall Warhammer 40k is much much more powerful than the star wars universe.
"Cadia stands" is the quote
Thank for the new uebs video
That was just the scouting party. The main force will arrive soon.
I mean when you put crossbowmen and melee units against lasers kinda not even fair. Guaranteed they get clapped if it was actually just 40K vs Star Wars
Space marines like chain weapons, swords, axes ). What a battle
The black marines are called black templars
Story of my life when playing with IG:
"I don't know what happened to them?! I spawned like a million of them and *poffff* evaporated."
Hey Daley let me tell you how you can tell a chaos and non chaos marine apart
If their chaos then they would usually have horns and spikes everywhere while non chaos are more refined, their armour is like a uniform with their symbols and chapter logos.
This is hilarious and awesome but i had the thought, would not many of these units be interspersed? Especially Jedi. As hilarious as it is to see a wave of lightsabers cutting a swath i feel theyd be all spread across the battlefield and i wonder if thatd be more interesting
Correct
During the clone wars, Jedi were commonly dispersed in small squads or as command units.
Remove the trenches between them . Let them fight for the dead.
Or actuly use more than assault marines replace the fantasy units with ctual 40 k units like admech and knights their wasnt even percent of the full factions of 40k here
Love your vids
Daley, war hammer is on such a massive scale that it could probably take on every other science fiction universe at the same time and still win.
Yeah, no. Not even close.
@@skyhawk554it probably could take over most of them
Might as well throw in Master Chief, his fellow SPARTAN-II's, hell even the other SPARTANs as well.
Love this! fanbase vs fanbase xD
HE CALLED WARHAMMER MIDDLE EARTH 40K!!!!!!!!!
THEY ARE TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GAMES
Would have a laugh watching necrons in this ... couple thousand hexmarks, once off orb of resurrection on necron warriors would be interesting to see
Sure hope this is NOT a Matrix level game, where millions of people in AR are dying for this guys amusement ;-)
Canadian guards men are from the planet Kedia of fortress world.
I might of missed spelt it.
@@volcanicknight5594edit the comment
hate to say it but in no world Jedi win against 40K. and why the hell didnt the dragons fly haha
I think that if every army was accurate with star wars and had hero units then star wars wins
40K is so Overpowered that 1/10th of just the Imperial Armies( which is maybe possibly 1% of all the units in the 40k Universe, maybe less) could probably destroy all of Star Wars armies in the Star Wars universe,+ all of LotR + all of Star Trek + all of the real worlds military in every country combined + Every Marvel character + the Covenant from Halo ...all combined, ......and with EASE. If it went badly for the Imperial 40k troops, they might take 1% losses.
The scale of 40k is SOOOOOOOO far in excess of every other universe combined its just mind boggling
In fact to put it in perspective, The Eldar are one of the smallest factions from 40k, and are a "dying" race in 40k. They make up less than 1% of the 40k universe populations in terms of numbers. With the Eldar alone they could probably destroy ever other Sci fi and fantasy universe ever created , combined. This is partly due to the Technology but in main the sheer numbers scale in 40k.
When the Imperium has 1 million+ world, just itself, and that is 1 faction, and not even the biggest faction, and many of those 1 million worlds has trillions and trillions of people. 1 million worlds with likely at least 1 million solders protecting each world. The numbers are so big it gets into astro physics kind of scales, if we are talking about the Mathematics involved to number crunch the population.
40k is the largest fantasy/sci fi universe ever created, by factors
War hammer is lord of the rings on space crack
Cool vid
Those weren't Chaos Marines. Those were Blood Ravens. They are a chapter of the Space Marines from the video games.
Protect the emperor my fellow cadians
I think the Dark Angels would be justified in sending a marine 38 thousand years into the past just to chainsaw you in half for so much heresy! 🤣
so many 40k could chose but went with warhammer spears against lasers next time pick a all 40k army if want a decent fight
You are a great guy Daley 🙂
None of the melee units could get over the trenches
never ever heard about dragons in warhammer 40k
Chainsword's for the win. Death Korps, the best clone army (technically not clones, but clone enough).
so the SW army have more men and a good bunch of the 40k army is actually fantasy troopers, who are obviously much weaker due to their weapons and after giving the 40k army this disadvantage, it is an even fight. so a real 40k army would actually have way more soldiers on the field and easily win every time
The weapon the black templar space marines were holding were chainsawards
that was so cool can you do star wars vs halo in uebs 2?
FOR THE BLACK TEMPLARS BURN IN THE EMPEROR'S RIGHTIOUS JUSTICE FOUL XENOS

The hawk saw as you called it is called a chainsword witch is basically a chainsaw sword witch is as cool and ridiculous as it sounds.
And the space marines holding them are black templars a loyalist chapter descended from the imperial fists legion
Late to the party, I know, but this would have been better had you not mixed Warhammer fantasy and Warhammer 40K. You should have just done Star Wars vs. Warhammer 40K, so it's sci-fi vs. sci-fi. A better opponent for Warhammer fantasy units would be Warcraft or Lord of the Rings.
5:46 this mans running a NASA computer loading all of that laser fire
You should use Sith armies next time and decrease the number like 10k Sith against 1 million warhummer troops
It would not be fair especially if they had actual war hammer 40k units and not fantasy any war hammer phyker could kill a Jedi
I'm stopping this before it starts, just to say that it will be pretty hilarious if the Warhammer side winds this with so many units from fantasy and not 40k... action!
the read with white are blood marines and the read with horns are caos
What about Warhammer Xenos?
I truly love daily
"Every Warhammer 40k Army" Most of them aren't even from 40k. Why not just say "Every Warhammer Army"? :P
does this include the Necron who can stop and manipulate time like Trazyn the Infinite?
As far as Warhammer 40k goes, Imperial Guardsmen are among the weakest. They're the common soldier of the Imperium of Man. While the Space Marines are the most elite, something like Navy Seals. The strength of the Imperial guardsmen lays in their numbers, when they can overwhelm the enemy. The Cadian imperialguardsmen are however the most elite. Their company survived the utter annihilation of their planet!
yeah a lot of units got put places they cant even fight. he needs to learn some Warhammer to do fights with them because he cant balance it.
Would need more range units for war hammer since Star Wars had like three times there’s. They would need more ultra Marines to meet it fair
Daley they are called chainsaw swords😂
day 11 of asking Daley to bring back XCOM2
FOR THE EMPEROR!!!!!!! *revs chainsword*
I don’t care what a sim says, this wouldn’t even be a close fight. 40k universe wouldn’t absolutely fuck Star Wars. You got Jedi? They have Jedi in power armor. Any kind of troopers wouldn’t stand a chance against space marines.
Pls use some kriegsmen one day
please do not call the black templars chaos. Otherwise the trenches really changed the battle they shouldn't have been there. Also you say every warhammer 40k army where are the tau orks nids necron and all other armies?
