I love the feels and vibe of the animation. It really captures the LOTM's settinf. I just hope that the episode pacing would be good and not rush so that it doesn't cut too many things which is a common issue on novel adaptations.
Hope there is, but very little of it. When I checked out manhua I was sure there will be nothing good in this franchise but novels. inb4 10 minute episodes, skipped diaries, rushed plot, changes to original plot, fillers and so long. This book simply can not be well adapted unless monstrous efforts are put in and sacrifices in terms of animation rules get taken. There also is a huge problem which is first volume is the least favorite by most people (and pretty much anyone who disliked the novel simply stopped reading before the end of vol.1) so the animation is bound to be paced up not to lose audience. Yet, I believe in the others' faith in Mr. Fool and I dare hope for the best. If the people responsible for the job are true fans of the original, there is a slight chance...

@@EvilDethexwhat Japanese anime has largely disappointed u. Ive watched a few donghua that the Studio BC MAY has made and visually they are all good but the pacing is the main concern. However I think they can handle this well by cutting all the slow parts with the cooking and other small bits that are not necessary to the plot, these were very prevalent in volume 1 and the main reason people dropped the novel. A big concern is the diaries and tbh I think they can find a way to not read all of them and they can just mention key points. If this donghua gets 24 episodes that’s enough to cover book 1 faithfully. A will eternal which was made by BC MAY had 52 episodes in its first season so we can pray

Now I believe everything is going to become just worse from what we have now (literally everything not just anime or donghua or whatever). Even though everybody including myself knew JC Staff is a shit studio, I had seen S1 and S2 done pretty well (probably the best of JC, these two they did pretty good, at least it was quality animation), so I was longing for S3 which should cover the best part of the books (kinda gave up Index after reading new testament vol. 1, maybe shit gets more fun somewhere ahead). But for quite some time S3 wasn't being made for no apparent reason. Now it seems the reason was Staff realized they would never satisfy readers' expectations so they decided just not to do it. But I still have no idea why they decided to do it so many years after, and did the most HORRIBLE job they could broadcast. I truly felt shat all over myself while watching it. It was just so CHEAP and shitty that I could only giggle at it, realizing there is nothing sacred for Staff's people. Meanwhile, I did enjoy A Will Eternal quite a lot, thats why I dare hope they might have a chance not to fuck up LotM. But these two are very different stories and LotM is gonna require a very different approach.

Incredible visuals, dynamic camera movements, and a strikingly thematic colour palette, with emphasis on industry-apex backgrounds (arguably even better than in Mo Dao Zu Shi)? This combined with what is quite possibly, nay, without a hint of doubt the greatest narrative and setting amongst any isekai, or dare I say webserial of all time has been and will be? Yeah, I'm thinking masterpiece territory. Praise the fool!

During the first part where lightning strikes, I can identify most of the gods. There’s Mommy Evernight with the moon in the background, God of Steam and Machinery with the cog wheel behind ‘Him’. Then the Ancient Sun God, holding a staff with a sun on it, along with the Sea God holding a trident. Then the God of Knowledge and Wisdom, who seems to be holding a book? Finally there’s the last two, who I’m not very sure of, I’m sure that one of them must be the Earth Mother, maybe ‘She’ is the one with vine-like tendrils around ‘Her’ but I’m not too sure because ‘She’ is depicted as usually swaddling a baby in her arms with ears of wheat surrounding her. And then as for the other one… Possibly the True Creator? But I don’t think ‘He’ would be placed among the other orthodox gods, hmm… Maayyyybbbbeee it’s the god of combat?? Possibly??? I think the biggest shame is that The Fool isn’t placed among them, but I guess that the Great Fool is far superior compared to any other god, thus it would only lower his standing if he was to be placed among the peanut gallery!!
