Hey, interesting fact : at 600mm on APS-C sensor is the only moment we can actualy read the brand on the cylinder lock "yale". So one can still find a use for this lens (quite cheap in 2021) on aps-c. thanks for this review it was usefull to me.
Excellent video. I learned something about my lens. Thank you for taking the time to make these very informative videos. I usually don't purchase a lens until I see one of your reviews on it. They are practical and real world reviews.
This is just one of your great reviews! Thanks a lot, Christopher. I got this lens a few weeks ago. On full frame camera, the results are just lovely. It is completely right that its sweet range for sharpness is between f/8 and f/11. But it depends on what you are shooting (since f/5 - f/6.3 aperture range is quite usable). Meanwhile it must be kept in mind that it is really a very-good-value lens for its price. (Note: Of course, it is not in league with lenses such as Canon EF 500mm or 600mm f/4L IS II USM where those lenses cost around 12.000 USD!)
Appreciate the work that goes into these reviews, just upgraded to a 70D and was thinking of pairing it with a the Tamron 150-600. I do some sports photography plus I like getting nature shots also so I always wanted to get something with big-big reach. Other reviews and of course the price got me really excited to get this lens but after seeing your review I'm having second thoughts. I guess the bottom line is that for the price it's still a great lens and to get a better one you're looking at ten times the price.
I bought this lens in November 2014 and I must tell you I love it! It's very stylish in my opinion, and for its size it is super light. The lens hood works very well and also offers great protection from rain, snow and even falls. I fell with it once, and the lens was saved because it landed on the front, with the hood protecting it. The image quality is quite sharp up to about 500mm. But like every lens there is several things I don't like about it. Just like the review says, the autofocus is slow at 600mm. It's not good in low light at all being a 5 to 6.3 lens. And finally, it does have a problem with lens creep if you hold it down while its zoomed in a little bit. But other than those things I highly recommend this lens!
Chris, All your reviews are really great as your are comparing on same standards, pretty easy to spot the difference. A small suggestion, when you are reviewing Telephoto Lenses, just mention whether you are using tripod or not... :) Thank you very much...
Thank you for the review. You did a great job Chris, i always wanted to know how the lens work in crop sensor cause others reviewing this lens with full frame. Once again awesome review and video man, Thanks for sharing.
Dear Chris, as always this has been a very helpful video in making up my mind about this particular lens..I am not going to buy it for my 7D mark ii..though initially I thought about this option for a while.. Currently I am shooting with the 18-135 mm STM and the 24 mm STM as well.. As per your earlier suggestion I looked at the 55-250 STM lens..and frankly I liked it so much that I was about to get the lens for myself but thought that may be I would wait a few days before that.. Now that I think of it, there is a particular lens that caught my attention..and that is the 70-300mm L lens from Canon.. There are not a lot of reviews for this lens out there but those that I saw gave a kind of mixed feeling about it.. So I would like to ask your opinion on making a decision. The 70-300 L lens is certainly not cheap and neither it has an impressive zoom range as the sigma 150-600 C lens or this tamron that you reviewed..but what is has is excellent build and image quality..or so I think.. That zoom range is impressive for portraits and landscapes as well as a bit of telephoto..and that too particularly on my camera..that is a well rounded walk around lens I suppose.. I would really like to get a L lens in my collection but also I won't mind being able to take a few closeups of birds.. So I would like to ask you for a review of the Canon 70-300 mm f/4-5.6 IS L lens if possible and also your opinion in making up my mind in buying a decent glass for my camera.. Thanks in advance for your help..
Thank you for another great review, I'm planning on buying this lens but I'm also considering the new Sigma 150 600 contemporary, it will be nice to see a comparison whenever the sigma comes out
Hey Christopher! Thank you so much for all of these wonderful reviews! Will you be reviewing the Tamorn 24-70mm f/2.8 VC? Would love to see your take on that lens!
In a way I think it is incorrect to compare the sharpness on a full frame @600mm, you should compare or rather note. That you are as zoomed in @375mm and that is were the sharpness comparisons is relivent. Any additional focal lenght comparisons is not super relivent. Thoughts? :)
Hello to you . I ordered a sony a7mk3 and I have a tamron 150600mm sp di usd for sony A mount that I had put on a sony alpha a65 slt. Do you think the adapter ring The EA3 is used? Because the tamron has the AF motorization function. thank you in advance ;)
I've had this lens since about 2014. It worked great until the autofocus motor stopped working for no apparent reason after being in stored in a Pelican case for a couple of years. Manual focus still works fine. So, it's okay now for relatively non-moving subjects, but not worth the cost of repair. Better options on the market now.
So I was considering buying this lens because I shoot a lot of raptors. But your review told me something about my camera that I didn't know. I have a Canon 20d and was always a little frustrated by my 75-300 Canon zoom appearing soft at 300mm. Now I know why. I didn't know about APS-C sensors when I purchased the camera years ago. But now I know that the Tamron 150-600mm would not work so well for me. Thanks for your review. Now I just need to get a better camera body first to take my photos to the next level.
What are you going to do with your photos? If you take RAW photos at maximum resolution, you can always scale the image down a bit and apply some sharpening, unless you need them at maximum resolution for print.
The best wildlife photographers in the world shoot on APS-C sensors, with high pixel count. something like the canon 7D mkii or the new Nikon d500 is best suited for wildlife.
Hi Chris, nice video. I really wanted to buy this lens for bird photography. I use a Canon 7D (hoping to get 7D mk II at some point), so seeing in your review that it isn't that sharp on aps-c, i bought a Canon 300mm f/4L IS USM 1.4 extender. I'm really happy with the purchase, thank you for helping me decide.
I have just purchased the 6D and considering the purchase of either this Tamron or the newer G2.----- Could you please let me know what ISO and Shutter speeds you used when shooting with the 6D - many thanks in anticipation
Hey Chris, I am also keen to know this. The Sigma 150-600mm C is main competitor. The S is a lot heavier and more for tripod and bench pressing but Malek is spot on asking for a review on the Sigma if you get a chance.
With some good, bright, golden hour light, and close to the subject with the bg being far away, I get amazing pictures shooting at f/5, f5.6. and smaller apers. I've had mine for 6 years now and no new lenses have pulled me away from this one. The minor differences they offer aren't worth the cost and would barely be noticeable on the web. If I were a pro, I would get a loan for a super nice prime, f/4 600 and live with soar arms.
I have a Sony A6600 and saw this lens being sold second hand but for a Sony A mount and had a few questions 01. Is it possible to mount this Tamron Sony A mount with an adapter to connect to my A6600 with the Sony E mount? 02. Will doing this affect the quality in any way? 03. It's selling second hand here in Europe for 700 euros. Is that worth the price in 2024? 04. I'm looking for a range upto 600 and was initially searching for a Sigma lens but it was nearly double this price and more, second hand. Is there a huge quality difference between the two? 05. If there isn't, why don't more people buy this lens and just get an adapter which is all together, still much cheaper than the Sigma 150-600 lenses or is there a reason there's such a big price difference Any help on any of these questions is super appreciated.
Another great review, but I did think the shots on full frame looked a bit softer than your assessment of them. I'm getting used to that door you always shoot and it looked a wee bit fuzzier than usual!
It is a little softer! I do know what you mean. Sometimes it's actually quite tricky to describe picture quality verbally, especially considering that a lens's quality is sometimes quite a subjective thing
periurban I'd actually really like to do that! But I don't have the correct test charts and equipment for it, however the major websites do it, and I've tested so many lenses this way now...
Christopher Frost Photography Yeah, it's all good. You do a great job and your format is perfect. I'm not sure you need charts to prove the point. We can see for ourselves what the lens is doing.
Christopher Frost Photography There are more than enough people testing lenses with charts. Please stay with your current method... keeps me coming back. Thanks from Chicago
nice review as always very in depth.....i was planning this lens for my 70d but now i am not.... please suggest me telephoto lens for my 70d which i can use for bird photography....
Great review, it helped me make up my mind. I have a Canon 60D and as much as I would love 600mm I can't see this working very well with fast moving wildlife with my camera . I think I might be better off with something like the Canon 400mm 5.6. What do you think?
If I had to choose between this lens and the old canon 400mm f/5.6 non-IS, what should I choose in terms of sharpness and such ? I am into nature and astro-imaging, preferably using tracking mounts...
I am an ameteur bird photographer and am planning to buy the nikon d7200 for birding. But im stuck on which lens to buy. Ive got 3 options.. 1. Buy the tamron sp 150 600mm lens 2. Buy the nikon 70 300mm lens with a good teleconverter. 3. Get a spotting scope. The reason for the confusion is i dont know which one will give me the best results..... if u r suggesting option 2 or 3 please tell which teleconverter or spotting scope i should use?? Thanks in advance. Regards.
Beautiful vid. I am confused or curious. Is it fully compatible w/ a NIKON D3200 ASPC? They say that the crop is 1.5X. This would make the full 600mm zoom, actually 900mm. Wouldn't that be the cause of the lack of clarity or detail? You are comparing a 900mm Crop Sensor lens to a 600mm Full Frame Sensor.
+Tim McQuade Take a look at the APS-C results in this video for a rough idea of how sharp it would be - but the D3200 is a 24mp camera, so it won't be quite as sharp. Yes, it would be a 900mm field of view
I really wanted this lens for the image stabilization but most my shots would be wildlife in good lighting.. I'd want a quick shutter speed so I am now starting to think the Canon EF 400mm F5.6L USM would be a better lens for me.. But with the tamron dropping in price it might still get picked.
same boat mate i was so going to buy this lens within week but after his review i am also thinking about canon 400mm f5.6 i also shoot birds and in average light condition ...
I had this lens for my 6D, now I got the R6, this lens is not auto focusing with R6, I can just control the aperture, and from time to time I get error not connecting to camera. Has anyone got the same problem, any solution? Not in favor of getting the G2 at the moment.
Great review as always! That bunny is just adorable, by the by. Apparently the Canon EF 400mm F5.6L USM has superior sharpness to this Tamron lens, even if you crop the pictures to the equivalent of 600mm. Plus, the image quality is good enough to allow a teleconverter to be useful in conjunction with it. Of course, that's a prime lens, so you lose the zoom option. And, if you're filming then cropping a 400mm image to 600mm is not practical (because you'll be cropping from an image that is 1080x1920 pixels or less). Also, no IS on the Canon lens. So, for video the Tamron is better. But, I think I would prefer the canon prime lens, all things considered. The price is pretty similar.
However, cost is an issue. There are some interesting reviews online of the new Canon 100-400 with teleconverter vs. this Tamron. Not surprisingly, the Canon wins in IQ, autofocus time, etc., but the kit costs 2.5x as much. Will be interesting to to see how the new Sigma 150-600 C stacks up to this lens since they are priced identically.
I would take a 400mm F5.6 over this if it was an option for Nikon. I love my 150-600 but I have to use it more as a 150-450, beyond that it is soft and often back focuses.
Just watched your old video once more now. Dear Christopher, just now I noticed that you are saying there are other 600mm lense better than this Tamaron you mean cheaper if do which are those? I am using 6D mii I would like to buy budgeted telephoto for Bird photography. Earnestly request you to suggest me one. !! Thank you.
for wildlife (mainly bird) photography with a 7d would you recommend this tamron 150-600mm or the canon 100-400 or the canon 400 prime? Or anything else similarly priced as the tamron? Thanks
I do alot of bird photographing using this lens on an aps-c camera. Do you think the resulting pictures would get better on a full frame camera? Since I really need all the zoom I can get..
If you need more zoom, stick with APS-C since it's a cropped sensor. You would get less telephoto range on a full frame; and if range is a priority, then any image quality deficit on APS-C seams like a worthy trade off.
Hi Chris Should i sell my Canon EF 70-300 mm 5.6 L Lense and get this one the reach isnt enough. Or should i keep the canon one and get this one as well. please compare the image quality
+Putte MacGuff Aww you know what, that's one of the nicest things anyone's said to me :-) I'd love to but the problem for me these days is...time! I wish I had the time, but I just don't!
Thanks for taking the time to review this lens Christopher, your reviews are always clear & concise. APS-C bodies seem to have a hard time with these super zoom lenses, have you come across any lenses 300mm & upwards that give decent sharpness on an APS-C body? Or must we crop-sensor users admit defeat and buy a 'full-frame' body if we want very good sharpness? It's a shame there aren't many long-tele lenses made to natively pair with the APS-C sensor EF-S mount body :-/
Which would be better, a Opteka 500mm Telephoto Lense or a Opteka 500mm Mirror Lense if both are the same price, $95 USD on Amazon? One is shorter and the other is longer. I need one for my Nikon D5100 DSLR.
I know, one is a Mirror lense as you already reviewed, remember you said it was sold under many brand names basically a Samyang Mirror lense. I was just wondering which one would be better they are both the same price.
Hi Christopher, what would you think about getting a 70-300mm that you reviewed with a 2x extender? I have a Canon 6D. Thank you for all your great videos and God bless in Jesus
I'm going to throw this out there: I use a Sony a77 body, seen that you review lens that go towards a Canon or Nikon (i know Nikon uses Sony sensors) are there any details missing if i am to use your guides and reviews in selecting a future lens? I shouldn't see any problems, optics don't change, but, I'm new at this and maybe missing something... plus it's kind of hard to find information specific to Sony compatibility when everybody in the jungle hunts (more accurately: shoots) with Canons... :D
+Serg Asma As far as I know, a lens that is sharp on a 20mp Canon sensor will be virtually as sharp on a 20mp Nikon or Sony sensor. But, of course, it might look a bit softer if you're using a 24mp sensor, or higher.
+Christopher Frost Photography thank you, indeed I have the 24mp sensor. That might not necessarily be a bad thing. Thank you for your time and answers!
thank you for that video, and i got a question if not that lens (for the 70D), can you reccomend a lens with a focal length of 400 to 600, for birds mostly- so i need it to have a good fast focusing (max 5.6 f maybe?) my lenses: 17-55 and 70-300(not L). thanks :) love your videos
Amit H You'll have to spend a lot of money, and look into getting one of Canon's professional 'L' lenses, if you want very sharp image quality past 400mm on your Canon 70D.
yeah , but ive got the idea to use 300mm prime with extender (like i commented in the 50-500 tamron video)is it a good idea? its quite cheap in comparison, thanks ! :D
your reviews are always very thorough and I normaly stop by Chris Frost if I need info. IT would be Great thought if you could do a new full review og the new tamron 150-600 V2 Lens. And the Sigma 150-600 sport Lens. Maybe compare the 2 lenses as well in all aspects like billedet quality, features, optical performance in North FF and apsc. but anyway... thank you for your many good and thorough reviews.
Hello Chris Frost. I'd just like to say your reviews are great, and extremely helpful. I just have a quick question regarding lenses for a Canon Rebel t5i. I'm looking for a lens around the 18-55 range, (but larger or smaller zoom is fine), that ideally has a large aperture, but more importantly great sharpness and contrast and is good in low light. Pictures are my priority, not video. Do you have any recommendations? Thanks!
Christopher Frost Photography please sir why not a review for this great lens.I occasionally used to search TH-cam for Sigma 150 600 C review video of you. Because your videos have now become a standard to watch before buying a lens.
Do you believe the stabilization tries to set the image still or does it try to correct vibrations? Because I want to use this lens for filming and if it tries to set the image still than it looks terrible on video.
I think I understand what you're saying. Tamron lenses do seem to try to 'set the image still', as you put it, meaning they are not so great for video work
Nice review ... thanks ! What would be the BEST settings for moving birds .... 1/2000 sec @ F8-F11 ... ISO 1250 or ++ ?? PS : Is there a TC that fits this lens for Nikon bodies ?
Hey, interesting fact : at 600mm on APS-C sensor is the only moment we can actualy read the brand on the cylinder lock "yale". So one can still find a use for this lens (quite cheap in 2021) on aps-c. thanks for this review it was usefull to me.
just won a bid on ebay for this lense. looking forward to using it
The best review of this lens on youtube, thanks!
Excellent video. I learned something about my lens. Thank you for taking the time to make these very informative videos. I usually don't purchase a lens until I see one of your reviews on it. They are practical and real world reviews.

Dance seagal dance! As always, thanks for the review. I love what you do!
This is the only channel I will use for lens purchasing from now on.
Appreciate the work that goes into these reviews, just upgraded to a 70D and was thinking of pairing it with a the Tamron 150-600. That bird's got some sick moves xD
Any chance of a review of the Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary? Love your reviews by the way, thanks :-)
Also the Sport Version would be nice :)
Thanks for the nice review. Look forward to a review of the new Sigma 150-600 C and caparison to this Tamron
Chris, All your reviews are really great as your are comparing on same standards, pretty easy to spot the difference. A small suggestion, when you are reviewing Telephoto Lenses, just mention whether you are using tripod or not... :) Thank you very much...
Great review as always, Chris!
Nikon shooter here but I always watch your reviews. Hope there's a Nikon version of you.
Please do a video of the new Tamron 150-600 mm g2
Tamron making sone good lenses. Just bought the 18-400mm sold my Nikon 18-200. I also own the Nikon 200-500 use a D500. Good review.
Thank you so much Christopher Frost !!
Thank you for the review.

another great review, thanks!
Thank you for another great review, I'm planning on buying this lens but I'm also considering the new Sigma 150 600 contemporary, it will be nice to see a comparison whenever the sigma comes out
Thank you very much for this most needed review. Helped me a lot.
very nice review I will keep this review in my mind for my next lens many thanks chris
Great lens, sharp, bright, one of my favorites for landscape photos. I usually pair it with GH5, to have tha focal length of 300-1200!!!
As always, great review.
Hey Christopher! Thank you so much for all of these wonderful reviews! Will you be reviewing the Tamorn 24-70mm f/2.8 VC? Would love to see your take on that lens!
l have one for my APS-C Nikons for wildlife. On a full frame body image quality is better. But you have to crop more when 600 is not enough.
In a way I think it is incorrect to compare the sharpness on a full frame @600mm, you should compare or rather note. That you are as zoomed in @375mm and that is were the sharpness comparisons is relivent. Any additional focal lenght comparisons is not super relivent. Thoughts? :)
So impresive video!Thank you.One question ,I want to know if autofocus works in APS-C cameras?Thank you.
I would be interested in seeing how this lens does on another crop sensor like the 7d mark ii.

hi chris, looking for the review of 150 - 600 G2.
Most interested into how this compares with its Sigma 150-600 counterpart...
Great review as allways:)
Hi Chris, nice video. I really wanted to buy this lens for bird photography. Always been my dream to own a lens at 600mm ! I guess if I put my camera in DX mode, it turns to a 900mm ! 😮
Excellent review. It's a convincing case for me for this lens.
I have just purchased the 6D and considering the purchase of either this Tamron or the newer G2.----- Could you please let me know what ISO and Shutter speeds you used when shooting with the 6D - many thanks in anticipation
I guess I'm confused - why does it perform so much worse optically speaking on an APS-C camera body?
Because the APS-C sensor is far more demanding of the lens - its pixel density is far smaller
Hi Chris
Happy new year
Any chance to get the Sigma 150-600mm f5-6.3 Contemporary DG OS HSM review
Hey Chris, I am also keen to know this. The Sigma 150-600mm C is main competitor. The S is a lot heavier and more for tripod and bench pressing but Malek is spot on asking for a review on the Sigma if you get a chance.

Hey, can you use this lens Tamron 150-600 Sony a mount on Canon EOS R ?
Awesome review. Can you use the zoom lock at 600mm or at any zoom ?
Another great review, but I did think the shots on full frame looked a bit softer than your assessment of them. I'm getting used to that door you always shoot and it looked a wee bit fuzzier than usual!
It is a little softer! I do know what you mean. Sometimes it's actually quite tricky to describe picture quality verbally, especially considering that a lens's quality is sometimes quite a subjective thing
Christopher Frost Photography You could have a rating system? Based on charts rather than doors? Not as visually pleasing though.

I'd actually really like to do that! But I don't have the correct test charts and equipment for it, however the major websites do it, and I've tested so many lenses this way now...

There are more than enough people testing lenses with charts. Please stay with your current method... keeps me coming back.
Thanks from Chicago
How do you feel about image quality of this lens vs the Sigma 50-500 that you reviewed? Sharpness, contrast, etc.
nice review as always very in depth.....i was planning this lens for my 70d but now i am not.... please suggest me telephoto lens for my 70d which i can use for bird photography....
Great review. Loved your Facebook page too. Some beautiful shots there x
Thanks!
When the stabilization works in my lens I hear a slight knoking sound. Does this mean it's broken?
Wonderful review. Thank you.
Great review, it helped me make up my mind. I have a Canon 60D and as much as I would love 600mm I can't see this working very well with fast moving wildlife with my camera . I think I might be better off with something like the Canon 400mm 5.6. What do you think?
Do you have review of Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2? I heard it's better than the first generation.
Great review. Will you be reviewing the 24-70mm tamron f2.8 Vc Usd? Thought I would just ask. Thanks in advance.
awesome work .
I want to know whether tamron 150-600mm make a good pair with Canon 5d mark iii for professional wildlife photography ?
Sure
Does anyone know if this works with Sony’s LA- EA1 adapter? Thanks in advance
When on a tripod, using a Canon T3i, would you use VC or no?
I currently use a nikon ds3300. Would this lens support this camera or would I have to upgrade?
If I had to choose between this lens and the old canon 400mm f/5.6 non-IS, what should I choose in terms of sharpness and such ? I am into nature and astro-imaging, preferably using tracking mounts...
The 400mm will be slightly sharper but this Tamron lens has image stabilization
And G" is much sharper, better ?
Would it be possible for you to review the Nikon 200-500mm? Plz
Hi Christopher. Do you know if the Canon 55-250 IS STM lens is still sold in the UK shops? thanks
It certainly should be!
Just I say a single ward GREAT.
Are there plans on looking at the new canon 100-400L mkii?
Cardiff! Yaaaay. I like the lens and i am from Cardiff. Cool.
I am an ameteur bird photographer and am planning to buy the nikon d7200 for birding. But im stuck on which lens to buy. Ive got 3 options..
1. Buy the tamron sp 150 600mm lens
Regards.
+Kanak Naik No idea about Nikon lenses, sorry! The Nikon 70-300 may give you enough reach without really needing a TC in the first place (possibly)
I've seen this being sold locally for £500. Worth the price second hand considering its age?
I totally agree with that! Christopher's review of the 400mm 5.6 would be very intresting.
I love my 150-600 but I have to use it more as a 150-450, beyond that it is soft and often back focuses.
thanks alot Christopher ... Great review
!! Thank you.
I can't remember exactly what I said in this video and I don't have time to look, but I was probably referring to Canon's very expensive 'L' lenses
for wildlife (mainly bird) photography with a 7d would you recommend this tamron 150-600mm or the canon 100-400 or the canon 400 prime? Or anything else similarly priced as the tamron?
Thanks
I'd probably go for the Tamron
One option for you is the Sigma 50-500 OS. Check out my videos on all three lenses. My tests are all standardized, so you can compare
@Christopher Frost Photography - Can you review Nikon 200-500 f5.6 lens, compare against Sigma and Tamron offering in telephoto lens
+Krishna Prasad Kotti I don't review Nikon, sorry
+Christopher Frost Photography thank you for all your reviews.
+Christopher Frost Photography If I start a kickstarter and save money to buy you an Nikon DSLR can you start doing Nikon videos?
+Putte MacGuff Aww you know what, that's one of the nicest things anyone's said to me :-) I'd love to but the problem for me these days is...time! I wish I had the time, but I just don't!
I really want to get this for my A55
Nice review. I would like to see what the moon looks like through these high zoom lenses.
Thank you for the precise technical data. Unbiased lovely useful presentation. Any thoughts about sigma 150-600mm sports model?
+Pat Pathinayake Haven't tried it I'm afriad - apparently it's a little sharper than this and the Sigma 'C' version lens
+Joe M It is tricky. The Tamron 70-300 VC USD performs quite well at 300mm on APS-C, and so does the Canon 400mm f/5.6 'L'
Thx.
Very interesting video yet again.
Which would be better, a Opteka 500mm Telephoto Lense or a Opteka 500mm Mirror Lense if both are the same price, $95 USD on Amazon? One is shorter and the other is longer. I need one for my Nikon D5100 DSLR.
TekReview's I haven't tried them, I'm afraid
I know, one is a Mirror lense as you already reviewed, remember you said it was sold under many brand names basically a Samyang Mirror lense. I was just wondering which one would be better they are both the same price.
How does this lense work on a Canon EOS200D camera? Any experiences?
Hi Christopher, what would you think about getting a 70-300mm that you reviewed with a 2x extender? I have a Canon 6D.
Thank you for all your great videos and God bless in Jesus
Great review! What about Tamron 70-200 VC f2.8 ?
have you yet reviewed Tamron G2 150-600 ?? reviewed or compared ???
Very very hard to find any info in your review for APS-C.
Thank you for your time and answers!
thank you for that video, and i got a question
if not that lens (for the 70D), can you reccomend a lens with a focal length of 400 to 600, for birds mostly- so i need it to have a good fast focusing (max 5.6 f maybe?)
my lenses: 17-55 and 70-300(not L).
thanks :) love your videos
Hopefully sometime! There are a tonne of new lenses coming out which are keeping me very busy at the moment
Thanks!
Hi! Check out my fast standard zoom lens video
Very helpful, thank you
Hi Chris will you be doing a review on SIGMA 150-600MM C soon?
+Mike Yeung Not really planning to. I hear it's virtually the same as this Tamron lens, although there will be a few differences here and there
Christopher Frost Photography please sir why not a review for this great lens.I occasionally used to search TH-cam for Sigma 150 600 C review video of you.
Because your videos have now become a standard to watch before buying a lens.
would the nikon d5500 drive the autofocus on nikon version of this lens? i heard the d5500 doesnt work with autofocus of all lens
+TheClosedpalm yes
Have you done a review on the tamron 70-200 g2?
Nope
Is it good and sharp for canon r10?
Do you believe the stabilization tries to set the image still or does it try to correct vibrations? Because I want to use this lens for filming and if it tries to set the image still than it looks terrible on video.
I think I understand what you're saying. Tamron lenses do seem to try to 'set the image still', as you put it, meaning they are not so great for video work
+Christopher Frost Photography okay, thank you!
Nice review ... thanks !
What would be the BEST settings for moving birds .... 1/2000 sec @ F8-F11 ... ISO 1250 or ++ ??
PS : Is there a TC that fits this lens for Nikon bodies ?
+Aztec Airbrush Whatever gets you the best results - I would shoot 1/1000 sec +
+Christopher Frost Photography thanks !
