I've never seen an airbrush used like this before! Makes me want to go get one so I can try this. Is the window cleaner just a replacement for airbrush flow improver, or does it do something different?
Dylan F thanks! Glad you like this unifying technique. Is very simple and the “window cleaner” is not necesary, you can get water or normal thiner instead. Test it, you will like the results
liquitex in tubes work great too one tube will lasts for years

Please explain the tray with paints on it What sort of paper is on top of the water, Is this a set you can purchase. How deep is the water and how wet does the paper get. Thank you for the video very informative and I like your work .
The name is wet palette. Is quite easy to "build". Just need a lunchbox, with a thick layer of wet paper napkin underneath a paper for ovens. This oven paper provides to the paint a longer time without getting dry. Hope it helps ;)
You can also use a small pump spray, like the ones for hair but not aerosol. To keep the towel moist not too much.
Is the technique u are using wet on wet ? Also, if you don’t have airbrush will this technique still work ?
Art Lopez you can achieve same results unifying by brush instead of airbrush with a few thin and diluted layers of the midtone. Airbrush is just faster ;)
Fantastic video, thank you for posting it on TH-cam. I noticed in some of your other videos you use Vallejo Model Color, is your move to the professional artist acrylics, such as Golden, a recent move? Have you had any experience Liquitex heavy body acrylic? Gracias
his1ojd thanks for your kind words. I moved a year ago to golden and schminke but still use vallejo game color a lot. My technique is better with vallejo cause im more used with the dilution ,but when i want really good pigment i switch to quality paints. I think you can do mostly thr same paintjob with any paint. I will try to explain it. For example The difference is the quality and density of the stroke with golden, but with vallejo you can achieve similar results giving two or three strokes instead of one. Is all about getting used. In my begginings, if i had used golden i will had never switch to other one now. Hope it helps. Sorry, I have never used that brand. Regards
Thank you for replying so quickly. Is the main difference between Vallejo and Golden that you just need to add more water to dilute Golden, or do you need to alter your technique to use it? And you think Golden also airbrushes very well? I notice in this video you were trying to spatter the white with the airbrush to get texture on the miniature, but I presume you can also achieve a nice smooth finish airbrushing the professional artist acrlics?
his1ojd is not only the dilution, also you have to change a bit the approach of the stroke cause its more elastic. This means that you can paint large shapes without “braking” the stroke. For example: giving glazes is much easier and faster with quality paints. You obtain cleanner shapes. But again, is all about getting used, im better with vallejo than golden cause I trained for years with vallejo. Maybe in two years i tell you the opposite ;) about airbrushing they are excellent. Have to thin them a bit. That point technique with the airbrush is getting advantage of a “bad” use of the airbrush to obtain texture.
