Denver traded the farm for 2014 Russell Wilson and got the same thing the Colts got when they picked up Matt Ryan, which is "Not much"

Hackett is one of these coaches that’s a good coordinator, a good assistant, but doesn’t work as an HC. He is too worried about being everyones’ friend rather than get the team going and playing hard. As Florio always says, it’s the Peter Principle, people get promoted to their level of incompetence.

He was never a good coordinator. Syracuse o sucked, buffalo o sucked and jags o sucked. He was "QB coach" for packers...u think Aaron Rodgers learnt a thing from this tool? He got a title and a salary as a favour to his dad and whoever hired him in Denver was somehow unaware of this

The play call was good. Hamler was wide open. Wilson didn't see him. Hackett got roasted for not giving the ball to Wilson at the end of the Seahawks game. He's drawing up plays that should work, but execution isn't there. Still on Hackett, but the more I remove my emotions from it, it's way too early to bring out the gallows.

dont underestimate a coaching staffs ability to ruin a talented offense. I strongly believed in 2015 and still do today that the broncos offense under manning was anemic partly because manning was old and couldnt throw like he used to, but also heavily because under fox, he was kind of allowed to do whatever he wanted and run his own offense. he played to his strengths which was standing in the pocket and getting out quick passes. under kubiak, he was forced into all this bootleg throw on the run crap which has never been what he's good at, and as a result, the broncos had a terrible offense when they could have had a mediocre to average offense. playcalling and playstyle matter a lot. when people say "let russ cook" what they mean is not "let russ try to turn poor offensive play design into miracles", they mean "let russ be himself".

I’ve coached in the west coast offense and it’s obvious to me that Wilson hasn’t grasped that offense yet. It takes a long time to understand that offense because it’s what’s called a snapshot concept. There are multiple options on pass routes that both the receivers and QB have to be on the same page about. Even a seasoned NFL QB, if he’s never played in the west coast system before, can not pick up the offense and be effective in an off-season. When you see a QB locking in on his first read on most plays that tells me he doesn’t know his progressions or the post snap adjustments based on the defense! Factor into that that most defenses will give you a pre snap look and then roll into a different look post snap. Russell Wilson spent his entire career in Seattle improvising by scrambling and giving his receivers time to get open. In a WC system you MUST be able to throw from the pocket and go through all your progressions because the offense is designed to always have at least one player open on every play. The bottom line is that Wilson doesn’t know what he’s doing yet!

That’s what they get hiring an offensive coordinator for Aaron Rodgers and he didn’t even have play calling duties in Green Bay. He was OC in title alone.

A play the QB likes: any DC staff worth more than $1k knows Wilson's likes. Wilson doesn't cause the problems that day a Allen or Jackson brings game day. If Ravens were to get a RB like D Henry, Ravens will make playoff & SB runs.

"We" is a form of speech that Hackett uses often...Hackett does not have the key horses on offense healthy enough to win...The real question is: how does the best red zone play designer and play caller suddenly become the worst? In other words, Hackett is probably not the problem.

The worse play was in regular playing time. Instead of playing safe and running the ball and kick a field goal, be 6 points ahead, they got dumb and threw an interception in the end zone. That’s where they really lost the game.
Besides even if they would have won, their offense is awful, putrid. One of the worst games ever, and the colts aren’t any better.

If the broncos want to win now they go get Sean Payton if he even wants to take over. Or we all just accept that we're still building. Honestly it's not russ, it's his offense that has 0 confidence and does not know how to be good.

Russ can’t run the Shanahan offense. His whole career he’s avoided throwing to the middle of the field and that’s what Shanahan’s offense is focused on.

Wow, people just need to relax, it's only week 5, they are 2-3, stop talking like they are 0-5.
In my opinion it looks like the play calling, plus russ hasn't been accurate.
Hackett needs to realize he doesn't have Rodgers anymore and put russ and this offense in a situation to succeed.
Melvin Gordon did not have a lost fumble yesterday, the colts are not easy to run against, alot of rbs are having trouble running this season.
    This is just overreacting

Maybe Hackett knew more than what everyone thought by trying to kick a 64 yard FG a few weeks ago instead of putting the ball in RW's hand. You two just said you cannot put the ball in RW's hand and trust him to convert. Three weeks ago you said, why kick a 64 yard FG and not let your 230 mil future HOF QB convert 4 yards. hahaha

Not trying to play devils advocate but I feel like Russ is not used to having an actual team around him (minus MG). Think about how many years of Seattle post LOB and Lynch that he had to be an escape artist and run around in the backfield for 8-9 seconds while being chased. Again not an excuse for poor play but I’m wondering if that’s his mentality right now is instead of trusting his receivers and o line he’s still stuck in that “superhero” mindset. Also the fact that MG is still starting is concerning.
