Who cares ? It's nobody's business but Tomlin's. Quit trying to cause a controversy that doesn't exist. In case you didn't know, Russell Wilson led the team out of the tunnel this past Sunday.
There is no PR that Russ can use to get whatever he wants in Pittsburgh. The vets on the team wouldn't appreciate that. Tomlin is loved by his players, and it is the reason Wilson came here. As TJ Watt says, we'd run through a brick wall for coach T. US fans wouldn't like it either, Russ isn't Ben Roethlisberger, so there is no loyalty to him in Pittsburgh. Russ's only option is to be a good soldier, and support the team and the quarterback room. He's making $38M so its the not the worst thing to happen to him... The Steelers found their QB1, and it's not the 36 year old guy..
Mike florio is just taking a dig at Russell. There is no "PR machine." If that were the case, so many false narratives surrounding Russ wouldn't have been able to go unchecked for so long causing him to be so hated. He's the definition of a good soldier. When he was benched, he supported Jared Stiddam and still participated, knowing he'd be cut. What Florio is referring to is when Russ actually had to get the NFLPA involved because he was told to either change his contract or be benched. The NFLPA confirmed they reached out to the Broncos to inform them what they were attempting was illegal. That was not a PR move on his part. What the Broncos attempted to pull was illegal and that's a big deal and it was only fair he speak up about it. Trust, he's fully aware Steelers owe him nothing. Whatever happens, he will be a professional about it as he's always done.

Cousins wasn’t hurt, maybe he was playing a bit tentative due to it being his first game back but that’s not the same thing. The defense is winning the games but Fields is getting comfortable and growing, he doesn’t need to be doing more right now. Also was severely dampened by bad offensive penalties the first two games
