Waooo, I have listened to several videos of Oxford Interviews and I have come to believe that the Oxford University is perhaps the place I should least think of. Since English is not my native language and still struggling with improving my English language, I just think that even if I can finally passed the English language requirement I would not be able to work all the processes out. Scary to the core. I am an Indonesian. Tips to be fluent in English please.

I do really appreciate your videos and I think they’re really helpful. I’m currently preparing for my PPE application at Oxford. But I have to admit that I’m actually getting really nervous especially because English is not my mother tongue😬 But apart from that I was wondering what made you go to UChicago and not to Oxford? (I’m just curious)
Penny Studix English does not have to be your mother tongue! But it would be naive to say that it doesn't matter at all -- it just makes it more of a journey/struggle for you, but honestly in my MUN experiences I usually find that a lot of chinese students from Guilin or Guanxi actually are better than some native english speakers in terms of their logic and critical thinking ability! English helps, but don't be discouraged!!
As for the second part -- i've been getting so many questions about it (I told myself I will make a super comprehensive video about it if I gain a few more followers) but essentially it came down to my major and career! I want to study something more like economics-finance-data science, and believed that UChicago might help me more! Ofc there are more reasons but that's my short version ☻ ☻
People can sense desperation and sadnesa from your smile and voice, maybe something wrong at school and academics?? U haven't been uploading videos in a while, are u feeling OK? Do u have any friends because of your identity?

Late reply, but I suppose she might have been conflating monism with physicalism? Russell was not a physicalist, but was definitely a monist...
