Kevin, the reason why I love your video Pleasure Unwoven is you really hit the mark on what addict is and how it feels for individuals who suffer and the families who don't understand what we are experiencing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Dr. McCauley. I've been following you and your studies since 2010. I thank God for your resolve and disseminating the core truths of addiction to the lay masses. You speak of AA in particular when it comes to the fellowships. Please sir if you are dedicated in clarifying the confusion surrounding addiction and the disease model, I would have to ask you to not tread on Dr. Silkworth's work when you speak of craving. What you call craving, the big book describes as a mental obsession. What the big book, particularly Dr. Silkworth's letters describe as craving is a physical component that compounds the mental disorder thus making it an illness. Not to mention the spiritual malady that drives the nails into the coffin of sobriety. Once I START I can't stop (craving). Once I stop I can't stay stopped (mental obsession). Mental obsession is the thing that has you up all night saying that I can just do one. The most insane thing I will ever do in my addiction is to pick up a drink when there is absolutely no substance in my system whatsoever. That is not craving. That is the insanity of alcoholism/addiction, stone cold sober. No disrespect to you Dr. McCauley but this is my life you are talking about........... As well as yours. Thanks for your unyielding service.

Why was "Pleasure Unwoven" removed from TH-cam? I share that.

Thanks for your note. I'm not sure why it was removed, since it was available just last week. It isn't ideal, but there's another link where you can watch the film in parts, starting here: th-cam.com/video/ekDFv7TTZ4I/w-d-xo.html

I really enjoyed Memo to self, Pleasure Unwoven seemed like a very long Toyota commercial.
