Heard this incredible mele earlier today at the 2023 Alondra Park Ho’olaule’a. Absolutely love it and the hula danced to it. ❤
Missed the Ho'olaule'a last year, I try again this year
Beautiful.........this is the first time I have come across this singer and I have to say that I am hooked!!!!!
Mahalo piha my friend!! Its amazing...I remember when he first sang it to me, my birthday before I moved to the mainland! Mahalo nui Nerf!!
He is amazing and that must have been special for him to sing to you for your birthday.
Great performance and awseome special effects. Psychedelic and spiritual.
This is an excellent video. Thumbs Up! Wonderful Song & Performance. GB. Ray
For many Hawai'ian lyrics go to Google Chrome and type in name of song. Be sure to correctly spell Hawai'ian names so you can find what you need. You can also buy the CD as most have liner notes with words and English translation. Good hunting. Mahalo Kaumakaiwa for sharing your MANA. Kaleolani Fitzgerald

The singer is mahu (3d gender) and might be using he, she or they as pronouns. Mahu are revered in Hawaiian history as the keepers and teachers of hula, chants and mele (sung poetry).
The mainland concept of trans is not applicable to mahu. If you do some searches here, you will find some excellent videos explaining all of this and more.
@eahulaipuhawaii It was so beautiful, it was breath taking!
omaomao1 - I completely agree with you. This is so beautiful. Lizd8799 would you care to elaborate what you mean by "this creeps me out"? Although I can see no other logical meaning in that. The floor is yours....pane mai
fresh Hawaiian artistry...u`i
