The SkyTrain maintenance yard is located in Burnaby near Edmonds Station, in Richmond near Bridgeport Station on the Canada Line, and there's a new one on the Evergreen Line but I can't remember where it is. This is the one in Burnaby
Gary Plastek most of the trains head to one of the maintenance yards (two of them are for the regular SkyTrain and there's a Canada Line yard in Richmond near Bridgeport Station) when they get taken out of service for the night. Only 18 trains are in service past 10:00, the rest get taken to those yards for a good night's rest and cleaning. They even have a car wash-like system for cleaning the trains!
Its not paint! The red and blue stuff are just decals like stick on like a sticker. That's an easy Fix don't have to go into a paint booth. The only paint is just the white around whole train.
Such an excellent system! Those are some interesting movements in the yard... I love Vancouver and I hope to return soon!
Nice video. Fun to see what happens what out-of-service trains do.

It is in Coquitlam between Inlet Centre and Coquitlam Central
This is a good place to do a live rail cam
I live in Vancouver and I’ve been there multiple times!
2024 edit: why did I type this here
heh, there isn't much more to film without actually getting into the yard itself.
2:42 The 6-Car Mark I is rare at first...but in 2016-present it is now very common and all of the Mark 1s got 6 cars
