She and Jason are 50/50 wrong and correct 🙂 He can take photos and video of people in public without their permission for editorial purposes [as journalism] but not for commercial use [as commercial advertisement]. In that case he needs "a model release agreement". It means some people may sue him according to the civil law.

it still amazes me...people are literally on camera thousands of times every day, everywhere they go...but if a person is holding the camera, the lose their minds.

I really love these “walking around town” videos.
They always have a great mixture of bad and amazing people. The friendly faces and introductions by management makes me file that business in my memory of places to go if I ever visit.

The lady that came out and asked politely that you wanted to watch the video is the perfect way somebody can go about finding out what you're filming for. And it looks like business owners being to take an exam on how to act with a public because these people obviously don't know. The distance order that said wow I felt the same way about her when she said that
I bought a new canon camera about 10 years ago, and I got depressed and stopped using it about eight years ago. I’m really inspired, I think I’m gonna pull her out today. This channel does a lot, different things for different people. We thank you.

What a great comment! sounds like you need to do a little bit of traveling… Sometimes traveling, doesn’t mean going to distant countries, sometimes it means driving an hour away to a place you’ve never been, and just soaking in the atmosphere for a while. Could you imagine just walking up to a random stranger on the sidewalk demanding to know who they are and what they're doing? Then, if they refuse to answer ,calling the cops on them in order to possibly get them arrested?
I love it when they don't want to be filmed or they say you need consent but in reality there's camera's everywhere in stores on streets etc.,,and if you don't want a camera in your face don't approach it.
