Brilliant, thank you for that Tova. I did know about the thumb thing for checking tonsils etc but didn't think about testing and the thumb. I will be sharing this with all the SN parents in Leicestershire :)

Fantastic, yes do share! Lynda suggested a small ball, like a marble, for Elin to grip in her fist as an alternative to the thumb, or simply me pressing on the point. Which I called perculator 8 when speaking to my friend yesterday 😂

Thank you for this info. Where I live we have just got access to lateral flow at home tests. We could only have PCR tests until the last fortnight. And in fact although this self testing is now legal for us. The shops and chemists don't have any available to to buy anyway.

This might actually be super helpful with cleaning my son's tongue. Which sounds trivial but the amount of effort required to keep his teeth in his mouth and not decaying is rediculous. Thanks...

Amazing, please let me know if it makes a difference. Lynda told me this point is called pericardium 8 and can be activated by you massaging or gently pushing on it too, doesn't have to be your son making a fist. Or pop a small ball, like a marble, in his hand to grip. There is also pericardium 6, on the wrist, that helps nausea (this is the one motion sickness bands help with). You can do a google search for both points to find out where they are. Good luck.
