As a property manager, this case changed how I worked. I allow all roommates to break their lease with no charges. I refuse to allow previous intimate partners to get an alternate unit in the same complex. If there are dv issues with a resident and their partner, I allow any roommates to make a lateral move to a different unit to get them out of that situation and will give them 2 months free rent to stack up for bills or find another roommate. This case was awful and made me hypervigilant on roommate units.
Wait. But why? Was the guy, Miguel Enrique Salguero-Olivares, an ex roommate or her ex-bf? Or? I don't understand how what youre doing relates to this. Could you explain? It wasn't the roommate that did it so I don't understand. The supposed audio of her getting killed isn't what they thought it was. She was still at the club at that time anyway. So how does this guy killing her relate to what your doing? I don't see the connection because they haven't released whether he has any previous connection to her. In fact, it seems like you're doing all that based on you believing the voicemail is her being murdered and that her roommate did it. The audio guy never even said it's definitely what's on there. He said it's possible. We'll that wasn't her being killed. Not sure why you would do all of this based on nothing, tbh.
By the way- no woman would leave a roommate/friend left sleeping with the DOORS UNLOCKED!! Especially if her ex boyfriend tried to break in multiple times. Something is fishy about her roommate
Honestly reviewing the case and watching videos of everything. The note to me is the most important piece of evidence. The note reads I'm not stupid jealous bitch. This note indicates to me being written by a female to another female. Hence her room mate wrote the note ( Rosario ). No evidence of being raped but finds seamen in the vaginal area, and chest. I can't find one rape or killer report of doing both let alone the vaginal are not being damaged. The crime scene was staged any body who has time to write a note, and not rushing out of the crime scene. Red flags of some one close or lives or has lived with you. Just another police investigation done wrong, improper, inexperienced, and unfamiliar with that type of work. The note to me proves it was written from the room mate to the victim. Also taking into the neighbors account of hearing loud sounds upstairs around 3 to 3.30 a.m. The autopsy report does not show time of death which is very important to add to time line to the girls coming home at 11:00 a.m. Was the victim in rigomortis was their any signs of lividity. Indicating was the body moved after death, finger prints from the liqueur bottle. Also any finger prints from suspect or any other DNA found besides from the body of the victim. Like from the bed sheets, pillows, towels, and ext... Case was poorly investigated from the start making it botched. I'm sorry for this girl, her family, as I see it and hear it everyday from are violent humanity that we are or have become. Rest in peace my sister may justice prevail and be served for you and your family.
In a small town? Many people. In this case, no one, especially with a protection order out. Faith clearly didn’t feel safe enough without it but that friend that’s “like a sister” knows that and still left it unlocked.
@@kimberlybreeding2658 Oh yeah her “friend” definitely knew what she was doing. Left the door unlocked then leaves the house when she had wanted to come home from clubbing?! Goes with a friend only to be picked up driven home by another friend and then conveniently discover faith and start saying someone had been in the house?! Sounds very SUS!
The father is right "Karena knows what happened to Faith". Karena wanted to go home bc she felt sick. But 2 hours later she lets a friend pick her up and sleeps at his place? (And between that, bumping sounds from the appart). And the next day she asks a friend to come home with her, to have a "witness" I presume. I think Karena was jealous of Faith and they got into a fight. Why was she found in Karena's room? And this awkward 911 call... she KNOWS. She seems like a girl to whom men are more important than her gf. Shame on her.
Also, why would they walk into the apartment calling Faith’s name? As if anticipating that something had happened to her..I’d call that suspicious fore-knowledge, setting up an alibi, bringing along a witness...unless Karena already knew that something had happened to Faith, you would expect that she would’ve just come home and entered the apartment the same way that she would have on any other occasion.
@@munichmoon5711 it has crossed my mind that the attack may have occurred in the car park. That would explain the time-stamp on the pocket call. Also, was Faith’s car forensically tested? Could she have been driven back to the apartment? Karena made a big point about the fact that Faith’s car was still parked out the front when she returned to the apartment with Marisol that morning.
@@virginiaviola5097 yess, exactly what I thought too girl. Why walk in and call her name immediately? She could have just been sleeping. She knew alright.
Yea, somebody who knew the victim was involved--or maybe more than one person. Karena knows more and the police should have put the heat on her from the start. This case should have been solved.
@@mikesanders8621 is there anything on the update that we didn't know? We knew they arrested someone that is not ROSIE. But we BELIEEEEEEVE that it was ROSIE who did it. ROSIE did it. Duh.
@@jayleenmarlow2962 she apologized. She wouldn’t say faiths name. She acted like she didn’t hear them 3x when they asked her name. She kept saying it looked like someone came in She was also crying so calmly, like the adrenaline and shock was gone... and the call wasn’t prompt. There were sooo many things
@@kimberleesara9486 yeah. I mean wouldn't a mans 911 call be questioned relentlessly, had he been as calm, stating the things she had? Pretty sure he'd be tried and convicted by now. Sad but true
I’m confused why Karena would want to go out to sleep 5 minutes away at 4:25am in the morning leaving the door open when she had come home from the nightclub feeling sick. It doesn’t make sense.
The fact Karena left the door unlocked is so compelling as to be almost proof of her involvement. There is no way that a woman who has a restraining order against an ex who is known to have attempted to break into her home in the past, leaves the front door unlocked when she leaves her home in the middle of the night with her roommate asleep inside. None. I seriously hope that LE tries Ged Match or another Genetic Genealogy site, to try to find the other person involved.. Perhaps, to avoid the death penalty, this person will talk & Karena will go down with them. You have done what is probably the best job yet, in covering this case. We need more investigative journalists like you - facts, facts, and more facts. I have yet to detect any bias in you, unless you can call respect for the truth, a bias. I have shared your channel, and wish you great success.

Couldn’t care less is probably exactly right...leave her ‘friend’ vulnerable by leaving her sleeping in an unlocked apartment...that is not normal behaviour. That is a red flag right there.
@@JosephKulik2016 are you one of those that were there that night....hhmmm seems like it. All the evidence is there, its just circumstantial, everyone knows it was karina 'rosie' and her slimy a$$ boyfriend and friend that did it.
So what happened was, -They went to the club at 12, and went home at 2 am. -The neighbors heard loud banging right before 3 am. -Faith texted Karena's ex-boyfriend saying she needs him at 3:40 am which is also when Karena was contacting his ex-boyfriend -Karena left the apartment at 4+ am to sleep at someone else's apartment? (Why?) -Karena went home at 10 am and found Faith dead on the floor. That is the most suspicious timeline what the hell. Unless someone steps out and tells the truth, we'll never know what happened. But it seemed like Karena and Faith had a fight right after they left from the bar which explained the loud noises the neighbors heard. It was stated that the killer stayed in the apartment for quite awhile, eat and cleaned themselves before they left. Again, the neighbors heard the banging before 3 am. Karena left the apartment at 4 am. I don't know Faith's time of death but it's safe to assume that it might be from 3 to 10 am, right? Faith's last phone activity was at 3:40, but we couldn't be sure it was HER who was using the phone though. This is a big assumption, but could it be that Faith was already dead at 3:40 am? It was reported that Karena was desperately trying to contact his ex-boyfriend. When she failed to contact him, maybe she tried contacting him using Faith's phone and pretended to be her hoping he'll text back? Maybe, she realized what she had done that time and tried to ask her ex-boyfried's help to hide Faith's body? When he didn't reply, she called someone else. Someone came to fetch her and again, we couldn't be sure if he came alone. I will assume they didn't leave right away. Instead, they went back to the apartment, and they helped Karena set up the crime scene. They made it look like a stranger entered the room and raped Faith. Although the whole place was gruesome and she had so much wounds around her body, there wasn't a sign of gross truama to her genetalia. It's possible that the semen found in the crime scene were from someone she had consensual sex with that same day (but again, that is just an assumption. It's also possible that it was from the killer). After they set up the crime scene, Karena left with her friend, purposely left the door unlocked which completed their plan, and for alibi, she stayed with him until 10 am. At 10 am, she contacted another friend to drive her to the apartment to strengthen her alibi. After they found Faith's body, she called 911. And in the call she forcefully stated that someone broke in their apartment. Again, these are only assumptions but personally, looking at the evidence and the crime scene, I'm a 100% sure that she knew her killer. And if you look thoroughly at the timeline, it's just... So bizzare. I mean, why did Karena left just to sleep at someone else's apartment? It seemed like Faith really cared for her. She even helped Karena file a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend. Why would Faith just sleep and let her leave knowing Karena wasn't feeling well? If Faith really sent that text message to Karena's ex-boyfriend almost begging him to come, again, why would she just sleep and let her leave knowing Karena needed someone beside her that time? It's so bizzare and Karena's whole story just don't make sense to me, at least as a woman. It's... It's not making sense. I really hope Faith gets the justice she deserves one day. She seems like a really good woman.
Exactly!!! 100% after Karena was involved & needed to get out of there she texted the guy from Faith's phone too in a DESPERATE attemp to get him to come over and pick her up. Was the guy Brandon who eventually did come pick her up ever interviewed publicly?
Karina did it🤔!, Night before she called she wants to a friend's place for alibi, she called her 2nd friend for 2nd alibi , Karina wrote all the stuff, jeleousy issues. R.i.P. 👽
Nobody would go out in the early hours of the morning and leave their front door unlocked with their friend sleeping inside...I’ve got a 24 year old nephew and a cat, and I lock the front door when I leave if they are asleep...Karena knows exactly what occurred, and I pray that all the evidence reveals the culprits sooner rather than later, and brings some closure to her loved ones. My most heartfelt condolences..Faith was a very special girl.
Parents-this makes me think about something I haven’t thought of before. When we send our kids off to college and they get an apartment, PLEASE make sure the complex has security cameras or install something yourself. A ring doorbell or inside cameras at least. I feel so much pain for her family. May God somehow bring them some kind of peace ❤️
And teach them to lock doors. No matter what. You never leave and not lock the front door. Especially with a woman inside! It's how Eve Carson UNC was murdered.
Great points... The exterior physical security features of an apartment or rental is just as important as door locks, egress, proper lighting, security/surveillance cameras, and the surrounding neighborhood.
I thought the same. I've been watching these and we watch lots of lifetime movies I lived in college, thank god nothing ever happen, I always carried my pepper spray but still. I know in the future when I have kids omg. They're gonna want to be on their own, how do you protect them from these inhuman people I want to put a gps on them like in the movie spy kids their tooth was their gps Ima be that overprotected parent just like my parents still are
If I walk into my apartment and saw my roommate had been murdered, I would run out of there and call the police, I def wouldn’t stay in that apartment..what if the killer was still in there!!
Karina did it🤔!, Night before she called she wants to a friend's place for alibi, she called her 2nd friend for 2nd alibi , Karina wrote all the stuff, jeleousy issues. R.i.P. 👽
The way she’s trying to explain how she may have fell from the bed sounds very sus too. Like why would you try to add that information there if you don’t know what happened yet? And who would be trying to investigate the scene saying some things were out of place and therefore someone got in there? That girl definitely knows something.
Omg totally. 'it looks like someone was here. Things are different' Sooo not what you'd expect someone in that situation to say. Sounded like she was trynna cover her nasty ass.
I think Karena left the door unlocked on purpose for the person to come in and kill Faith and then once it was done she comes back in the morning and does surprised pickachu face.😮
Or she left after Faith was killed.. asked someone to pick her up..stayed there..and came into flat with another girl. And 911 call also as evidence. " unconscious".. she was dead.. her t shirt covered her face.. its a pretending call.
The moment I heard that 911 call I got chills, that girl knows what went down, her 'distress' sounded insincere, seemed to be padding out details way too much, just so many red flags with her tone, speech pattern etc, even the operator sounded unconvinced.
Hmmm.. usually when victims face is covered, it means that the perpetrator(s) knew the victim . Her friend left the door unlocked and her 911 call sounded at least strange to me.. I think her “friend” knows exactly what happened to Faith and I hope that someday truth comes out. My heart goes out to the family 🖤
That 911 call is not the voice of someone whom has come along to such a scene. There's no panic, no distress, no trauma. One would be completely overwhelmed, all she had was crocodile sobs. As soon as I heard the 911 I felt that her friend was responsible.
I think she was probably co-erced into making the 911 call, and too afraid for her own life to rock the boat afterwards. If she had actually killed her friend and was trying to cover her tracks, she'd have been better off keeping her head down and letting someone else report it. If you were the murderer, would you try to distance yourself from the crime scene, or would you call it in, and place yourself at the crime scene un-neccesarily? Karena calling it in might be shaky, but it follows exactly what she *should* have done under the circumstances. But the only reason anyone would stand by such an unconvincing narrative as we have here, is if they were covering for someone they were afraid of. And the only reason it wasn't challenged too robustly, is that any prosecution might show some glaring holes and inconsistencies with the Police's evidence (or lack thereof) or sloppy forensic protocols that might not stand up to cross examination by a good defence team.
@@nodiggity9472 - It's not unheard of for murderers to "discover" the body of the person they murdered. Nothing is ever certain but lots of things with her smell fishy. 1. Apparently leaving the door unlocked (when her ex has a restraining order) - that turns it from being (short of signs of a break in which would have been noisy and risk attracting attention) a case where the police need to look at keyholders to it literally could have been anyone, which is convienant if she was involved. 2. Leaving nightclub sick but going out 2 hours after returning home. 3. Not mentioning her friends name once in an 8 minute 911 call. It's almost like she's talking about a complete stranger. 4. Implausible scenario for what happened (she fell of the bed). 5. Then introducing other explanations/scenarios. There's no normal way to deal with a discovery of that nature but her call sounds off. Most people would have been more audibly upset, speaking more rapidly - what we have instead is a crackly whimpering that sounds synthetic. Sure it could have nothing to do with her, but if so she seems to have done her best to make it look like she's up to her neck in it.
She also tried to “baby” her voice. It’s not shown in this video, but there are recordings of how she usually talks like, and it’s crass and low, like she wants to come off as tough. She shit talks a lot. It has to be jealousy. Poor Faith, she seemed like she just wanted to help Karena get out of an abusive relationship, and her shitty “friend” set her up to win points for the guys. Girls who treat you like a frenemy are unpredictable and crazy
When it comes to that phone message, I am stubborn and no one will EVER convince me that it didn’t record Faith’s beating and eventual death. I don’t care what the timestamp says because phone’s glitch all the time. Look at Brian Shaffer’s phone; it had gone to voicemail for weeks after his disappearance and then one night it started ringing again. His girlfriend thought this was a good sign but the phone company said it was a glitch. Another case of a phone glitching would be Charles E. Peck’s phone. Peck died on a commuter train collision in San Fernando Valley but his family had hope that he had survived it as his phone made many calls to many different loved ones. However, once his body was discovered it was determined that he had died on impact. So, because phone data is not completely infallible I think it’s very possible that what you hear on that recording is Faith’s demise. Yes, there is a bit of music being heard but for those who have been in nightclubs before you know it’s not just a _bit_ of music but rather music that blares so loud that you can barely hear your own thoughts, let alone hear a person speaking next to you. Even people that disagree with me on the time that message was left do agree with me on the fact that it definitely sounds like a fight or serious argument is taking place. However, when CCTV shows the group leaving the nightclub everyone looks close as can be, behavior that just doesn’t match up with them all just having had a raucous fight or disagreement. Additionally, no witnesses came forward - other club patrons or employees - and claimed to have seen anyone loudly fighting or arguing. I feel this just further bolsters my belief that the timestamp is wrong and it was off by hours, occurring once they returned home and did not happen at the club. Of course, this is just my opinion and while I almost always try to stay levelheaded & listen to others arguments, this phone message is something I’ve never been able to bend on. I’ve listened to it so many times; enhanced, slowed down, sped up, analyzed, etc. but every time I hear it I just get an awful feeling of foreboding and hear the unmistakable sounds of violence.
Yes but they explained that the voicemail coincided with the same time as the phone call made. It would be easy to confirm the phone call/voicemail with both the phone's metadata and call log data that the phone company could also provide.
This case is not complex at all. It’s all out there, I’m surprised it has not been solved straight away. I have no one to blame but the investigation team.

Wow. That’s sad. With friends like that, who needs enemies?? Where I come from, leaving someone at home some to be hit up or killed is called a set up. That’s foul. Sounds like Karena definitely knows what happened to Faith. But what do I know
It's not strange at ALL.. she is only 20 years old and just found her friend dead in their home.. she's literally in a state of shock. Everybody reacts differently to traumatic experiences.. people need to understand that. People might surprise themselves on how they would react to a situation.. you might think you would react one way until you are actually in that situation. it happened to me. I was far from naive, have lived on my own since I was 19 years old.. always street smart, aware and prepared for anything.. until I was held up with a gun pointed right to my face at 24 years old.. that's all I'm going to say about what happened but the point I'm trying to make is that I did not react for 1 second how I would have thought in my head that I would have reacted in a situation like that. We also have the internet these days and hear of these cases often but back then you might only hear about a case if it was national news or if it happens in your local town so someone her age might not have ever imagined what a crime scene would look like.. she was confused and trying to figure out what happened.
Karena took part of Faith’s murder!! She’s a narcissistic b*tch!! Her actions after the murder and during the investigation speaks a very clear language!! There is also a recording that was found on Faiths phone that was accidentally recorded during the murder where you can hear Karenas voice! I can’t for my life understand how that disgusting excuse for a human being can sleep at night!!!
I’m not sure why the police didn’t do more in this case , clearly if all of us know the friends were involved and set her up then the police should know too, but they failed her , I know for a fact it will never be solved bc they never properly investigated the friends !!!
Karena definitely knows more than she's letting on , why would she leave the door unlocked? Why doesn't she speak to the family? Why would she just sit there and text when shes just found her best friend dead ? She knows what happened, she didn't kill her but she knows who it was , faith was found her room , why would she be in her room? Karena had said she felt sick but then she goes to sleep at someone else's house! She leaves the door unlocked to set the trap, she's been told to do it
@@twinny555 That crossed my mind too. It would explain why Karena felt the need to leave after 4am to sleep 5 minutes away. However we just don’t know unfortunately.

I'll work with them but it's something I don't bring up. I don't find it that odd. I met my friend in 1985 and we were friends the entire time until he death. But I can't just cannot talk about it with her family.
my son would forget to lock his apartment door until one day he did when his gf was inside. A man in a black hoodie tried to open the door. If it hadn't been locked or his pitbull hadn't been there with her the creep would have gotten in and Lord knows what his intentions were!
This is such a good channel. Your focus is completely on the case, not yourself. You cover the story in such detail, with no dramatic music, and we don’t even see you. Thank you.
I understand that under such horrifying circumstances such as this, circumstances that most of us will be lucky to never encounter in our lives, there is no one universal reaction that all people share. Some people can control their emotions, some people aren’t emotional at all, some people fall apart and some people go into shock. Additionally, how one traumatic event spurs you to react might be wholly different than how you react to another similarly tragic situation later. I try to keep this in mind when listening to 911 calls and while watching police interrogations. That being said, I _do_ find the fact that Kareena *repeatedly* made mention of the fact that it looked like someone else had been in her room to be quite problematic. She twice makes it clear that she doesn’t know what happened and draws attention to the fact that there might be an item or two in the bedroom that supposedly weren’t there when Kareena left. Trauma effects everyone differently but I can’t help but see those statements as red flags, especially making note of the misplaced items. How long did she stay in that bedroom after seeing her friend brutally murdered that she was able to soak in so much of the surroundings that a relatively small item or two out of place caught her attention? I’d say, to a degree, that her entire room would be out of place given that her friends half naked on the floor in a duvet and there’s blood over everything. So, she couldn’t say whether Faith was breathing or not but she _does_ know that there’s an item in here (later identified as paper/paper bag with writing on it, an item largely believed to have been staged) that was not here when she left. I do feel like a good portion of the 911 call is basically Kareena overcompensating. In general, it should go without saying that if we walk into a crime scene where our friend or relative is dead then obviously someone else would have HAD to be in that room at some point. Unless we ourselves are admitting guilt then _obviously_ someone else has been there. I feel that someone confident in their innocence and truthful about not knowing what transpired would not need to continually make a point of saying they didn’t know what happened but they knew someone _else_ had been there and had moved something. To be clear, I’m not a behavior analyst nor do I work any job in the psychology field. However, I do believe that with the amount of true crime content I consume that that does give me a small amount of insight into behaviors I see repeated and that you just get a feel for certain people. Now, I of course do not have the skills necessary to work in this field in a professional capacity but I can certainly tell you when somethings amiss and something is definitely amiss here.
And she's already trying to explain what happened to the 911 operator before anyone even gets there she's trying to make it sound like she's not involved are guilty and providing theories to the operator is like textbook showing guilt
I think Karena knows exactly what happened and I think she set it up! I think she was jealous of the beautiful Faith. I think Karena's bf made suggestive remarks about Faith.
I have already left a comment. But I want to add that I heard about this case on another channel, and came back here to rewatch yours. Your research here is impeccable. You did an amazing job. Truly. Bless
@medicamedico4335 myth. Plenty of people get their cass bungled. But minorities get far more attention, and it's all fed to you by an algorithm that boosts it.
What an absolutely gorgeous girl, it's such a shame, what the hell is wrong with people? Taking a life over something as petty as jealousy (if that is the reason) I pray her family get the justice and the closure they deserve so they can live in peace. RIP beautiful angel faith x
i remember this case... my money was on karena... "it looks like someone came in here" is not a normal thing to say and i have heard guilty killers say this same thing on 911 calls... she could have had a guest over... its suspicious...and she left door unlocked
karena!!!!!!!!!! her 911 call speaks volume!!!! i.e. when she says '' i'm sorry...'' she never asks for help instead she tells her story building up her alibi, never use Faith s name... guilty knowledge it is called!
She looked like a very nice person and beautiful, too. I also think Karena needs to be interrogated. I agree with Kat the Scribe who said you would not leave the door unlocked because you have a retraining order out on a dangerous ex.
Karena was 100% involved. She intentionally left the door unlocked to let the killer in. No sane human would've left that door unlocked because there's a girl sleeping alone inside. Like the report said, two or three people worked together to kill her. Just need one of them to snitch and expose everything.
Exactly! Plus she took out a restraining order against the jealous ex and had the locks changed. They said that he broke into the apartment or tried to. So why on earth would she leave the door open? Smh! She's involved. A Hispanic guy was arrested for Faith's murder but he didn't act alone. Faith was such a beautiful soul.
Remember this case from the written message and the audio recording. 3 Audio analists (without any knowledge of the case) should be consulted and compare their transcriptions. I have a strong feeling the analist is pretty close with his transcription. Karena and Eriq have much to explain here.
You have made a very smart statement! I never thought about having 3 test the voicemail. It kind of appears we are more concerned with the case then maybe the police are. But then again, it’s not what you know it’s what you can prove.
How about this? Maybe " KARENA" alongwith her partner in crime committed this heinous act after they returned from the club and then left the apartment letting people believe that the "door was open and anyone could have been engaged in this"... I think it's a very real possibility. She thought this through really well and articulately. And honestly, why would you go out again if you were feeling sick?? And the note is clearly a sign of dramatized presentation of one's feeling which is usually( not always) the case with young girls.
I can’t believe there was no security cameras in the complex that’s just madness. It adds more fuel to the fire that whoever did it knew Faith and knew that building. Karena might not have committed the crime but she has to know more than what she’s saying. Thanks for always uploading such amazing content, your videos get better and better. The work you put into them is so good and I love how stylised and slick the editing it Great work TC!
Yeah my thoughts exactly! Especially since it seemed like mostly college kids stayed there. I think whoever did it knew there was no cameras or security so it made it much easier to do what hey did.
Even in a small town where people will leave doors unlocked, it is highly suspicious that someone who has a protection order would ever leave their apartment unlocked even to do simple stuff like throw out the garbage or do laundry. The bottom line is this is a tragic botched investigation at best and a deathbed confession and lawsuit at worst. Faith deserves better and the family deserves closure.
i live in a small town and leave my doors unlocked but if i had a restraining order on an ex who is pretty much my neighbor I'd be locking my s*** up so tight
I have no idea why she would have done it, but my money is absolutely 100% on Karena. As soon as I saw that note, my mind went "that's a woman" and then the suspicious activity just piled on from there. The 911 call initially sounded genuine but then she started to bring in details that no one in that state would bring up??? Like can you imagine finding your best friend beaten to death and then telling the 911 operator several times that "it looks like someone came in here" and "things look different" or giving details about how the body is positioned? No, you'd be in hysterics or shock. She was trying too hard to plant possible scenarios. Not to mention that usually if a person's face is covered when they get murdered, it's because the attackers know the victim and they can't face looking at them while they're killing them. I think for some reason she had bad blood towards her friend, got someone else involved who then murdered Faith. Absolutely frustrating for the family to not be able to bring this to a close, my blood is boiling.
Funny how Faiths "friend" didn't seem one bit SCARED or CONCERNED.. that the killer could still be in the apartment while making the 911 call!! I would have had my arse sitting out in that parking lot making that phone call not knowing if the killer was still in the apartment somewhere! How did she not know that the killer was possibly looking for her instead of faith? Just doesn't sit rite with me OR MANY OTHER PPL!
If I was alone, I’d get out of the apartment STAT, but if I had a friend with me, I’d feel a little more comfortable staying and possibly providing care.
Karena is giving off extremely strong Amanda Knox vibes. Why has this girl not been investigated? That phonecall alone is enough to garner suspicion... let alone her retelling of the bizarre events of that night.
Something about this case just tears at my heartstrings every time I see a video about it. Such a beautiful, young girl. She has many people who loved her obviously. I feel she was betrayed by those she knew...over petty jealousies that should have been worked out between them, or they just walk away from eachother. I pray they are able to prove who did this and they are punished to the full extent of the law. They took this girl's life...why should they get to go free and have a life??!
i'm kinda confused ... if faith had previously dated brandon, and he was like a big brother to her, why did he text later in the day saying who is this? this is a bizarre story if u ask me
So he knew that it wasn’t Faith writing, because he was familiar with the way that she communicated and this didn’t sound like her..that’s really interesting.
Karena kept telling 911 "I just got home" over and over... that's why she left at 4AM as an alibi... left door open for perhaps person she texted to come over and "love" was something else... Recording on cell sounds like there was a jealousy issue that might have been the source... along w/drunkenness
My theory in this case: The neighbors said they heard bumping around 3:00 AM this could be when Karena was killing Faith(bc I believe 100% she killed Faith) after she got done she picked up Faith’s Phone to text Brandon making it seem like it was Faith who was texting but I’m guessing Brandon knew it wasn’t Faith which is why he texted back “who is this” and then I think Karena texted Ty McNeal from Faith’s phone saying stuff like she loves him which and that’s why Roland was like that didn’t sound like Faith texting so what I think happened next is Karena had somebody she knew personally or she had contacted earlier in the day come in and place semen there to throw off the police so that they focus on who the rapist is more than Karena which is why she left the door unlocked idk just my theory but no matter how you investigate this Karena definitely had something to do with it
Man, I respectfully and humbly feel the same way. Gender bias and dumb luck is keeping Kareena from being arrested. People keep alluding to “him” as the murderer when it seems most likely she. What guy removes a bloody tampon? Mountains of circumstantial evidence in this one. I think the semen is a plant and Kareena had help from 2 other guys but this is just to throw off the cops.
Great coverage of such a sad and disturbing mystery. I hope they bury the weak coward that did this crime. Attacking a person sleeping in their bed with no chance of defending themselves is so pathetic.
I have a feeling that one day this case will be solved. Karena is certainly involved there’s also something funny about the “big brother” figure Rest peacefully Faith. Your killers will be brought to justice in one way or another
Hmm...karena sounds as if shes pretending to cry...I dont believe her at all. The note shows that she had obviously upset her room mate by going with her bf calling her what she did. Definitely something to do with karena
I just want to say, you did a brilliant job narrating this story, you have a calm, yet very serious, capturing voice. Background music was very subtle, and not loud or overbearing. All the facts were there and clearly laid out. All these aspects I just stated makes for a very good, entertaining video that captures the audience. I`ve seen so many others that I`m bored of within the 1st minute. So well done and good job. Tragic story though. Regards Jason.
Karena kept saying on the 911 call ‘I just came in’ ‘I just got back’ etc as she was trying so hard to establish an alibi - karena is absolutely involved.
That is so sad. That beautiful young lady, why would someone steal her life from her? I just don’t understand how/why some people are so fkkd up, that they’d kill another human. I just don’t get it
It’s the friend that made it so that they went home early from the club. Because she wasn’t feeling well. But then she thinks she remembers seeing her friend in bed last. And wanted to leave at 4 AM when she had been sick.?!?!? Nothing about what her “friend” said adds up
Why would Brandon wait 12 hours to respond to Faith's text and then ask who it is? Her contact info would have been in his phone. If Karena was surprised to see Faith's car in the driveway knowing she had classes why would she call for a ride at that time? A random crime of opportunity assailant more times than not will tie up a victim and will generally strangle the victim or bring a weapon to kill her with, gun, knife like Richard Speck, etc.. Blunt force trauma to the head seems more like a crime of passion. Someone who knew her and was angry. Why was she found in Karena's bedroom? Seems more like a fight breaking out between the girls. Seems the Bacardi bottle would have shattered before causing that much head trauma and would have a lot more blood on it if it was the murder weapon. Was it tested for unknown prints? The note just doesn't seem like something a man would write, definitely not a male that didn't know her. The time stamp on the pocket dial has to be wrong. I believe that is the assault happening some time after 3am. You would think there would be music if it was from the club.
I agree!! I automatically thought it was written by a female coz of the words, *jealous* and *bitch*. I mean, when women fight or argue they're the most used words we use, imo.
The bottom of any bottle is the hardest part of it. So it could do massive damage to someone's head and might not have shattered or break. The weapon would more likely be one of opportunity rather than one of premeditation. The thumb the neighbor heard at 3 am was more likely Faith's body falling to the floor after being hit. The other thing is she could have woken up to being raped and that's why she had no clothes on and semen on her. She fought back and then the attacker grabbed the bottle and hit her and then she fell to the ground. Whoever was in that phone call said that they were going to F her. Not F her up. So many variables and no answers.
I love how this channel is enlightening me that there are monsters livings within us and mostly creepy close to us and happens to be the one we love most unfortunate !!
My goodness what an awful case, and one I’ve not come across before. You’ve done an awesome job covering this, and I’m looking forward to your next case, well done.
Just found your channel and I'm glad! I personally think that Karena is very much involved. I strongly feel this. My heart goes out to Karena, her family, and all of her loved ones. I hope they all get justice and soon!
Another excellent job! Thank you. I'm loving your channel! This case is heartbreaking. I found it very difficult to listen to the 911 call. I wanted to reach thru the phone, smack her and tell her to pull herself together. This case is so fishy to me. That roommate knows more than she's saying. A huge loss of such a beautiful spirit. Bless
How these police officers are so quick to dismiss Karena as being involved in this is beyond me. She had a part in this! SHE wanted to leave the club because she was feeling sick…yet she goes out shortly after? She leaves the door unlocked? And the 911 call is RIDICULOUS!! “She’s unconscious!” And “someone had to have been I here”… DUH!! Plus the downstairs neighbor saw Karena leaving after she found her laughing and carrying on as if nothing had just happened. ROSIE IS A PART OF THIS. PERIOD.
I watched a docu on this case and the detective said the problem is , is not that they don’t have enough evidence, it’s like there’s an overload of suspects/persons of interests and an overload of dna and forensics. And I think there’s something in that tbh.. it might sound weird, but it just makes it so hard to narrow anyone down. It could be Tys dna on faiths body, but it would make sense if they were romantically involved. Karenas dna would obviously be in the apartment too, as would Erics as he used to live there. It’s a messy messy case and I really hope one day her family can get justice. I love this channel so much it’s my fave upload of The week. 👍🏻👍🏻
I do believe karena knows more, either she helped, or her boyfriend went in thinking faith was karena and killed her over the fact she got a restraining order
Karena is the killer. Faith was a beautiful young lady. It seems Karena was jealous of her and most likely killed her along with others over a guy. How can the officers not consider her their main suspect? Karena is outsmarting law enforcement.
Whoever the killer is doesn't have a record (usually when they do their fingerprints are put on file). As a result the killer won't be found unless through other means i.e. DNA family connections.
This is the one case that is driving me crazy. I feel like 1, she was set up by Karena, 2 Eric is a douche and needs to go to jail even if he just gets charges for threatening their lives on facebook. I think they know who killed her already but they have been paid pretty well to keep their mouths shut. I really hope Faith gets justice. This family deserves it!!
Really makes you wonder what really happened but there were many questions but yet no answers?! You're awesome and thank you for all your wonderful content.
As soon as Karena said she left the door unlocked yet thought Faith was sleeping, sounded off to me.. Karena is heavily involved..created her alibi by saying she'd gone in a friend's car and stayed there, then rang Faith to pick her up from 5 mins away the next morning...ALL VERY SUSS TO ME.... rip Faith, I hope you get justice beautiful sweet girl, my thoughts go out to her family and TRUE friends
God bless you
God bless you ❤
You are an amazing person sir!
Wait. But why? Was the guy, Miguel Enrique Salguero-Olivares,
an ex roommate or her ex-bf?
@@J.C..."YOU'RE" doing......
By the way- no woman would leave a roommate/friend left sleeping with the DOORS UNLOCKED!! Especially if her ex boyfriend tried to break in multiple times. Something is fishy about her roommate
And that ex being someone who threatened to kill Faith on top of that.

Unless she was already dead
Only if she is drunk
Who would leave the door of an apartment unlocked and leave a girl inside sleeping? No one I know
Unless she knew someone was going to go in. 🤔
I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who thinks Karena is in on it. I rolled my eyes when I heard her 911 call. Rest in peace Faith ❤️
@@virginiaviola5097 exactly!!

I’m confused why Karena would want to go out to sleep 5 minutes away at 4:25am in the morning leaving the door open when she had come home from the nightclub feeling sick. It doesn’t make sense.
Cause she had something to do with it! It’s not that confusing it’s common sense

So what happened was,
-They went to the club at 12, and went home at 2 am.
-The neighbors heard loud banging right before 3 am.
-Faith texted Karena's ex-boyfriend saying she needs him at 3:40 am which is also when Karena was contacting his ex-boyfriend
-Karena left the apartment at 4+ am to sleep at someone else's apartment? (Why?)
-Karena went home at 10 am and found Faith dead on the floor.
This was exactly what I was thinking.. it just seems so suspicious of her “friend”
Exactly!!! 100% after Karena was involved & needed to get out of there she texted the guy from Faith's phone too in a DESPERATE attemp to get him to come over and pick her up. Was the guy Brandon who eventually did come pick her up ever interviewed publicly?
Yep. Karena.

Miguel Enrique Salguero Olivares was arrested for this crime linked by dna and a palm print on bottle!!
I do many people do
Perhaps she was drunk. Her leaving the door unlocked is questionable, but certainly not enough to say she was involved in a murder.
The idea of mixed school and partys at night is a no no
And teach them to lock doors. No matter what. You never leave and not lock the front door. Especially with a woman inside! It's how Eve Carson UNC was murdered.
An important thing to consider that I could’ve easily never considered. Thank you for bringing this up, you’re absolutely right.
Great points... The exterior physical security features of an apartment or rental is just as important as door locks, egress, proper lighting, security/surveillance cameras, and the surrounding neighborhood.
I thought the same. I've been watching these and we watch lots of lifetime movies
I lived in college, thank god nothing ever happen, I always carried my pepper spray but still. I know in the future when I have kids omg. They're gonna want to be on their own, how do you protect them from these inhuman people

When Karena reiterated "it looks like someone came in here" word for word it sounds sus, even rehearsed.
I thought that when she said it. Seemed like an odd thing to say during a 911 call

I don't know why I feel sus when she was suddenly talking about things that not there before when the operator asked the victim's condition
IMO Karina may not have killed Faith but she was there and knows what happened and why!!
It's interesting that you're so open about your stupidity
The moment I heard that 911 call I got chills, that girl knows what went down, her 'distress' sounded insincere, seemed to be padding out details way too much, just so many red flags with her tone, speech pattern etc, even the operator sounded unconvinced.
Hmmm.. usually when victims face is covered, it means that the perpetrator(s) knew the victim . Her friend left the door unlocked and her 911 call sounded at least strange to me..
I think her “friend” knows exactly what happened to Faith and I hope that someday truth comes out. My heart goes out to the family 🖤
You’re probably right dear Ana. And that 911 call didn’t sit well with me 🖤
Not to mention the over kill, its always someone they know
Exactly. That 911 call sounds rehearsed
Didn't wanna see the face and face the guilt
Yeah, like she was faking it
That 911 call is not the voice of someone whom has come along to such a scene.
Karena is acting and badly too in that phone call. She's not truly shocked or horrified.
I agree that the voicemail was a recording of her death.
Yes but they explained that the voicemail coincided with the same time as the phone call made. It would be easy to confirm the phone call/voicemail with both the phone's metadata and call log data that the phone company could also provide.
Clearly her friend set her up.
This case is not complex at all. It’s all out there, I’m surprised it has not been solved straight away. I have no one to blame but the investigation team.

Karina did it🤔!, Night before she called she wants to a friend's place for alibi, she called her 2nd friend for 2nd alibi , Karina wrote all the stuff, jeleousy issues. R.i.P. 👽
I'm sorry this happened to you Faith. The truth will be revealed eventually.
That is my prayer!
At 14:47, I cannot believe they actually wrote, "Investigators have excellent evidence in this case," yet it's gone nowhere in years, to my knowledge.
I'm fairly certain that police department hasn't tried to solve this case. Ir's been "unsolved" for too long.
Wow. That’s sad. With friends like that, who needs enemies??
Where I come from, leaving someone at home some to be hit up or killed is called a set up. That’s foul. Sounds like Karena definitely knows what happened to Faith. But what do I know
Ummmm the fact Karina was called Rosie and that the audio expert heard the name Rosie being said ...Karina was absolutely involved
I’ve watched a few videos about Faith but this is the first who truly painted her as the real beautiful soul that she was. Thank you for that ♥️
Her friend doesn’t sound very shocked in that phone call to the emergency services. Hope the killer is found.
She found her friend dead and she's describing the crime scene, very strange
She sounds like she's face crying. That whiny voice sounds fake.
She leaves the door unlocked to set the trap, she's been told to do it
Or it already happened before she left so she left the door unlocked as a decoy
@@twinny555 That crossed my mind too. It would explain why Karena felt the need to leave after 4am to sleep 5 minutes away. However we just don’t know unfortunately.
I Think that too.
So sinister
My kindergarten best friend committed suicide a few years ago. I don't really talk to her parents even when they come in to my office bc I don't know what to say. I'll work with them but it's something I don't bring up. I don't find it that odd. I met my friend in 1985 and we were friends the entire time until he death. But I can't just cannot talk about it with her family.
Her roommate is asleep. Sure leave the door open to the world
my son would forget to lock his apartment door until one day he did when his gf was inside. A man in a black hoodie tried to open the door. If it hadn't been locked or his pitbull hadn't been there with her the creep would have gotten in and Lord knows what his intentions were!
Don’t forgot her ex with a restraining order lives nearby. 🧐
Especially since she had taken a restraining order out against her ex boyfriend who lived in the same complex.
This is such a good channel. Your focus is completely on the case, not yourself. You cover the story in such detail, with no dramatic music, and we don’t even see you. Thank you.
This case is so frustrating. Praying that ONE DAY, justice will come for Faith.
DNA match!
Its solved now. Mexican guy DNA matched to the scene.
It's frustrating to me because of the judges gag order, that definitely did not make any sense

Probably the most professionally presented channel I've seen
I believe it was her roommate and boyfriend. He says Rosey on the phone recording. RIP FAITH 🙏
Thank you for making this and keeping this case in people’s minds. Justice for Faith!
I think Karena's bf made suggestive remarks about Faith.

i remember this case... my money was on karena... "it looks like someone came in here" is not a normal thing to say and i have heard guilty killers say this same thing on 911 calls... she could have had a guest over... its suspicious...and she left door unlocked
I agree that Karena was involved but she had help, who’s semen is it. Neighbour hears loud banging at 3am, Karena leaves apartment 4.10 🤔
Did they catch the persons who did this? Does any of u know more

@@kamranfarooq1751who was it?
karena!!!!!!!!!! her 911 call speaks volume!!!! i.e. when she says '' i'm sorry...'' she never asks for help instead she tells her story building up her alibi, never use Faith s name... guilty knowledge it is called!
The work you put into them is so good and I love how stylised and slick the editing it
Great work TC!
Yeah my thoughts exactly! Especially since it seemed like mostly college kids stayed there. I think whoever did it knew there was no cameras or security so it made it much easier to do what hey did.
Well Done. Thank You for shining the light. All Victims Deserve A Voice. Peace
This is awful . Faith deserved so much better ! Rip ❤️
Chill out. Killer is caught. The bits and pieces online is not enough to discredit the investigation.
That is the fakest 911 sad call I have ever heard in my life
I have no idea why she would have done it, but my money is absolutely 100% on Karena.
For such a force to kill her it was clearly a male
Karena's 911 call tells me all I need to know. I she was responsible before I even got as far as what this case was about !! 🧐🧐🧐
She was so beautiful!!! My heartaches for her and her family...the cops mishandled this case and she had idiots as friends
Karena is giving off extremely strong Amanda Knox vibes. Why has this girl not been investigated? That phonecall alone is enough to garner suspicion... let alone her retelling of the bizarre events of that night.
Interesting that you’d see tie ins to the Knox case when that was about jealousy too.
Amanda Knox is innocent of all charges.
@@Citizen-xx Haha, sure.
I just seen the update! Thank you for giving the update! 😊🌹
i'm kinda confused ... if faith had previously dated brandon, and he was like a big brother to her, why did he text later in the day saying who is this? this is a bizarre story if u ask me
My thoughts too. My close friends can call from a new phone and I know who it is by text. Her phone was not new. Her close circle did it.
So he knew that it wasn’t Faith writing, because he was familiar with the way that she communicated and this didn’t sound like her..that’s really interesting.
i know how my friends text, the words they use, etc. he probably noticed it wasn’t her bye how the messages were written. not that hard tbh.
that was because the text were unusual for brandon
Because he noticed it wasn't her texting him.
Whyd the friend leave the door unlock? This was a set up most definitely by the roommate!!
I thought as much too
Karena kept telling 911 "I just got home" over and over... that's why she left at 4AM as an alibi... left door open for perhaps person she texted to come over and "love" was something else...
I agree. I believe it was karena who killed her.
Great coverage of such a sad and disturbing mystery. I hope they bury the weak coward that did this crime. Attacking a person sleeping in their bed with no chance of defending themselves is so pathetic.
This is one case that will definitly be on my mind for a long time. So sad and frustrating that no one is arrested. I hope her family get answers soon
I have a feeling that one day this case will be solved. Karena is certainly involved there’s also something funny about the “big brother” figure
Rest peacefully Faith. Your killers will be brought to justice in one way or another
Hmm...karena sounds as if shes pretending to cry...I dont believe her at all. The note shows that she had obviously upset her room mate by going with her bf calling her what she did. Definitely something to do with karena
Man this is an excellent channel. Thank you for all your hard work!
Excellent research and presentation as always
Karena kept saying on the 911 call ‘I just came in’ ‘I just got back’ etc as she was trying so hard to establish an alibi - karena is absolutely involved.
You're dumb and a bad detective.
That is so sad. That beautiful young lady, why would someone steal her life from her? I just don’t understand how/why some people are so fkkd up, that they’d kill another human. I just don’t get it
They think by killing someone else will help them not to kill themselves.
Jealousy & envy are very powerful!!
JEALOUS .IT WAS EVEN LEFT BY THE KILLER IN A NOTE
Pure jealousy it’s very sad and pathetic
@Festina_Lente Wth is that supposed to mean? Can you use a sentence??
Maybe because the text was fishy and didn't match Faith's communication style. I think someone was trying to lure Brandon to the apt to frame him.

Blood under the fingernails.
Semen.
So much DNA.
Can't understand how this is difficult to solve.
Whoever the killer is doesn't have a record (usually when they do their fingerprints are put on file). As a result the killer won't be found unless through other means i.e. DNA family connections.
Yes, Karena seems guilty.
This is the one case that is driving me crazy.
