You don't want to have your skis parallel when you want to stop/stay in place, hence the meme.
I just tried the pouring on the side instead of on the leaf method and holy shit it actually makes a difference! No bitterness and a ton of sweetness coming out of my Tieguanyin oolong. 🤯
