The additional rubber in strategic places makes the outsole look really durable. I do not think that I need a shoe like this but will follow the reviews when they come out.
What is the heel to toe drop? Some people purchase sneakers for therapeutic reasons such as tendonitis & plantar fasciitis. The amount of cushion matters.
Carbon plate cost is in fact, kinda low (look at Magic Speed 3, very affordable carbon plated shoe), what make those super shoes expensive is the PEBA foam, their manufacturing cost is higher than traditional EVA/TPU midsole foam. But most of the carbon plated shoes release with PEBA foam, the combination provides a maximized benefit of the carbon plate, that make people think carbon plated shoes equal to higher price.
This is my concern as well. This shoe looks really fun, but instead of building a discerning lineup of shoes they are trying to make every shoe an all purpose shoe. Who wants a slow super shoe? It;s great to consider non-elite runners, but, to be honest, there are far more choices available to average runners than there are to those looking for uptempo shoes or racing shoes. There are all sorts of really comfortable day trainers that perfectly suit slower runners, some are cheaper than this offering.
I’m very interested in this shoe because I’m not a fan of super high stack midsoles in general and only use a CP shoe for long distance racing. I hated the More4 when I tried it on (not a fan of marshmallowy squishiness); they felt like barges on my feet. So will I like this shoe?
The More series is more of a walking/casual use shoe. I attempted to run in a Fresh Foam X shoe this year and it was a disaster. As you said, too "marshmallowy". PEBA has much higher energy return. The Balos will be a good, and possibly less expensive, alternative to the Asics Superblast.
What kind of strategy is it when it takes around 7 months after the announcement to hit the market? You can bet that the Chinese have already designed and manufactured a replica of it, so that when it hits the market, there will be no more buyers who want it.
Love new balance but their shoes crap out at around 4 or 5 hundred miles where as other makes I use easily double that I get through a lot of miles so shoes that don't last drop off my radar 🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️
Lol. I'll keep buying my Made models and in 5yrs my Made pairs will still be going strong while you're Adidas not so much. I would still take Adidas over Nike anyday if that says anything. NB though is far from trash. Everyone is entitled to their opinions though. Yeezys are trash imo.

Nah. This is allegedly soft rubber. It will wear faster than harder rubbers such as XT-900.
If it's anything similar to 1080v13, the outsole isn't horrible. Could be better but not bad

No official numbers yet, but New Balance tends to stay between 4-8mm drop.

I love my More V3 and V4 but NB outsoles wear out far too quickly. I hope the new range addresses that issue.
