  • After moving all my tools and equipment to a storage facility, I needed to better organize to work with the much smaller space. The first thing I did was purchase a set of portable scaffolding to use as shelves. I was able to clear up a bit of floor space very easily.

First of all- watch for sales . I just found them on sale at HD for $170 a set which includes one shelf and casters. Bought 2 just to get two shelves but could build one shelf out of wood and hardware if you had time. Multiple shelves is where you really gain space. I am putting the casters on so I can easily move it, putting one shelf low for storage and upper shelf at workbench height. Drill press, miter saw, bench top table saw , and more. Long stuff can just set on top of sides, and at other rung levels too if needed. The twi extra sides with casters I may build shelves for to have storage for other things at a different shelf width and still be portable. So many uses and variables!

All great advice! I dream of the day of having a large workshop/garage that can house a number of these along a wall for storage of all my crap.
BTW, I'll be using your comment during my next live stream, Episode 54 scheduled for Sunday night. Hopefully you can check it out. Thanks again!

Oh.... Joe.....I feel that pain mate.. That is almost identical to what I used to have. I needed to get another two but trying to get tools and machinery in and out aaaarh. Then I got a purpose built unit and havnt looked back!! Yes it's more money (and I don't like spending) but the ease to work and less stress makes it all worth it. Take a look Joe it's called "putting a stamp on our unit" You will see the ones I left like yours... All the best 👍

Why not build shelves to lay on the cross bars on the ends. That’s what I’ve done.

Right on man, lookin good! I would definitely go up with the scafolding. I would probably go down the wall too. You have got 10 lbs of junk in a 5 lb bag there for sure, lol. Love the logo and I subbed too. You wont see it as my subs are set to private. Gonna binge watch you vids this week end :)
