Once they got over their initial suspicions, they became inseparable for the next 13 years. Brings back some great memories of two beloved pets, long gone but never forgotten. I had the same thing in my home years ago - a Golden Retriever who had a strong maternal instinct and a rescue kitten. Our Golden took it has her mission to be a mother to this tiny kitten. They played, they bugged each other, and the part that still cracked all of us up laughing is when the little guy took over the dog's pillow and sprawled out and would not move! But they really cared for each other and we think the cat grew up thinking he was half a dog! My personal favorite is when he carried around a ping pong ball like our Golden carried a tennis ball and both wanted to play at the same time. Years later, we had to put the cat down (fairly young) due to kidney failure. Our Golden picked up right away that her cat did not come home and she was a mess. I never thought a dog could mourn like that but for days, she went to every spot they spent time together. I love these moments seeing a Golden taking care and loving on a small kitten because they are fleeting.

Who doesn't Love Goldens-even tiny kittens know they are safe-and the kitten was very gentle as well-They Love each other!They are both so Beautiful-I Love the calm vibe and they make a house a home-a harmonious vibe that is Beautiful to watch!!!
