Instead of doing a standard civilian job that relates to my Navy Career, I moved to a distant smaller mining town, and have looked at starting multiple careers. Finally now I am starting a course in Driving boats. I have given myself 5 years to learn French, Italian, learn boats and boat mechanics, so that by 2030 I can move to someone in the mediteranian, France, South France, Italy, UK, and drive boats such as Ferries etc for at least 5 years. I did not want to come back and just "get a unit", live in a town, meet ppl and that is it... I wanted more... My point is not to personally offend anyone here or this lovely Zen story, which I have downloaded the last 10 from this series however... but it is to say you dont need to settle. But accepting what you have, I do that by living simply, eating simply, staying away from alcohol and parties and focusing on sleep, sunshine, family, and health, such as cycling. Peace.

yes to this and I say this because I started an exercise with myself to constantly put myself back in the present moment when my mind wanders into past that is not necessary. I say to myself, be here now , right here right now and I repeat it over and over again until I no longer drift into an unnecessary past event.

Dont give up your passion yet everyone!. Get out there and live!. At 46 years old, I have just left the Navy. Instead of doing a standard civilian job that relates to my Navy Career, I moved to a distant smaller mining town, and have looked at starting multiple careers. Finally now I am starting a course in Driving boats. I have given myself 5 years to learn French, Italian, learn boats and boat mechanics, so that by 2030 I can move to someone in the mediteranian, France, South France, Italy, UK, and drive boats such as Ferries etc for at least 5 years. I did not want to come back and just "get a unit", live in a town, meet ppl and that is it... I wanted more... My point is not to personally offend anyone here or this lovely Zen story, which I have downloaded the last 10 from this series however... but it is to say you dont need to settle. But accepting what you have, I do that by living simply, eating simply, staying away from alcohol and parties and focusing on sleep, sunshine, family, and health, such as cycling. Peace.

yes to this and I say this because I started an exercise with myself to constantly put myself back in the present moment when my mind wanders into past that is not necessary. I say to myself, be here now , right here right now and I repeat it over and over again until I no longer drift into an unnecessary past event.
