This reel is not made of carbon fiber like you said. The frame and side plates are made of graphite. Also, the way to fine tune the spool speed is to tie on whatever bait you’re gonna use and let the lure drop all the way to the floor. If it hits the floor and the spool keeps spinning then it’s gonna backlash easier when you cast. As far as the magnetic brake system goes, for beginners I recommend setting it right in the middle. Your primary concern should be with the spool tension knob and tuning it. Once you have it dialed in then you can adjust your brake system to get the optimal length out of your casts.
u can get rod for 59 at dicks reel going for 60 7.5.1 ratio 2 typs of rods match 7'3 power heavy action fast line 15-50 ---7'0 power med heavy action moderate line 10-25
Man just construction criticism from a guy to another. Research and learn about baitcasters or gear before making a tips video. Ive watched alot of fishing videos on reels especially and reviews. You have the new gen Carbon Fire combo not Carbon Fiber which the frame not made of. Its graphite which most inexpensive reels are graphite frame with side plates. Then ur aluminum frames are stronger, usually lighter which more money. Then you have ur C45 carbon fiber side plates or frame. Magnesium and Duralumin are the newest lightest metals used on the expensive reels but strong, durable and usually around 5ozs. And the Fire reel brakes are only magnetic and u should know difference between mag brakes or centrifugal brakes? How they work, what to oil (bearings)and what to grease
Best tip for the producer of this video? Get a little more facts & experience before handing out advice. Oh like mono or some tape for backing before spooling on the braided line. Not only to protect your spool but also cut down on wasting all your brand new roll of braid. Little things.
Just have to understand when you backlash take your time and see what you're pulling or else you'll end up cutting it out. I did that once and had to respool. Since then have successfully picked out every backlash. Tight lines
Dude the more i watch the more i think u should change the name of the video. You shouldn't be giving tips cuz no wonder you haven't used baitcasters much. You shouldn't start with braid especially cheap shit cuz u backlash with braid & ur gonna give up. Learn with 10 lb good ole mono and throw around ur yard or a park. Practice thumb control cuz you setting ur brakes so high means ur not getting half outta ur reel as u could. Casting is one of the most important tools in fishing. The best can put lures anywhere from skipping to pitching. Location and mainly all thumb control which u have to start learning to throw baitcasters
Appreciate the comment but please read the title again. This is tips for beginners... I have began on braid and have not had any issue. I’m basically giving any tips to any beginners out there to start for the first time on a bait caster. In my opinion having the brakes all the way up for a beginner is the way to go to learn. As you get more comfortable is when you can ease of the breaks.
I love how the fish in the tank is watching the lure move as you do your review😆 great review!!
They’re always looking for an extra snack😂
Baitcaster tips for beginners and then doesn’t know why you wanna open it up
Great tips bro! I want a bait cast
My son really wants that for x-mas

Just got one really good
There is a market for smaller finesse spools that are compatible for this bait caster
You would open it for maintenance
This makes sense thanks for the feedback and comment!
I also have open mine to get a really bad birds nest picked out.
You have to put the reel on the rod and go to one Gard
The brakes are magnetic you can adjust the magnets individually
1:35 to put the line in
Yo, have you tired any 13 fishing Baitcast reels and if so how does this compare/ how are you liking this reel?
I have not tried a 13 bait caster but I can guarantee you this one is roughly half the price for a very good product. I’ve enjoyed it a lot thus far!
What length, power, and action did you get for your rod?
It’s a 7’-2” medium rod.
Willy G’s Outdoors Thanks
What pound line do you recommend
14 pound mono or 30 pound braid
Carbon fire, not fiber.
Look at the title thanks for watching!
Just going off of what your saying lol
Lol good catch didn’t realize I said that whoops!!
U can upgrade the bearings
How much was the rod

Big deal on dicks for it rn
u can get rod for 59 at dicks reel going for 60 7.5.1 ratio 2 typs of rods match 7'3 power heavy action fast line 15-50 ---7'0 power med heavy action moderate line 10-25

To put some fishing line
I believe it’s for maintenance, I don’t think you’d want to take it apart to put line on
that’s the same reel and rod i just bought yesterday to start baitcasting and i also bought it at dicks lmao

My suggestion is to not use braid on a bait caster I learned that the hard way

Please stop saying basically. My head hurts. Also, I dont believe there is any carbon fiber in this reel. It's the name that is catchy.
What type of line do you recommend
In my opinion you cant go wrong with mono
