HELLO, Nice video I remember when I was in Holiday, FL. When I met a man and women giving out water and food one early Sunday morning to the homeless. They are helpful and kind like you and your wonderful wife. Thank you. MS 10-4-2024
I have been meaning to tell you thank you for all of your drive arounds in Florida and elsewhere. What you show, is what I call the soft underbelly of Florida. I am a Florida native: born in Pensacola, raised in Jacksonville, and Tallahassee Florida. I still have friends who live "home". But just like anything else, the reality of living in Florida does not match the "dream". Sometimes, it seems to me that people focus only the winter weather being very good, and ignore the total picture. Florida, from my perspective, is not the land of milk and honey. It has some real negatives. Like difficulty in making a living for the non professionals. I have noticed, when I go home, that the cost of food, from a big name grocery store (which everyone seems to love), cost wise is not that far off of Whole Foods. Maybe not with everything, but many items. I live in the Midwest - this is where my profession brought me. You follow the money. Oddly enough, a number of people whom I graduated from high school ended up in the same Midwestern city. The quality of life is really better for me. You have to adjust your lifestyle to the seasons. There is plenty to do in all seasons. Right now, in the winter, you can go to skating rings, the gym (with heated pools), exercise equipment, lots of arts, and sports (son in law plays indoor soccer). You can find it. And yes, with this area having been around since shortly after the founding of the country, there is an soft underbelly too! I read a book a number of years ago about getting old, going to Florida, being lonely, and dying. This was out of Florida State reading list. One of the odd things, is that a more of elderly seem to return to the area, for health care and to die. They need better health care. A close friend reports his mother had a surgical procedure (in Florida), she returned home, the surgeons had to fix a problem. I just had a new neighbor move, they are from Florida via Puerto Rico. They seem to love the culture, don't like the winter, but think the school systems will be better for their children. Again, thank you for showing the "real Florida", not the chamber of commerce version. Keep up the good work.
I'm 47. I grew up in this area and still live in the new port richey area. I remember when the burger King and spine institute was built. The neighborhood next to the Winn Dixie and bank used to be beautiful and boring. It's sad what's happened to west pasco. However they've done a lot to downtown New Port Richey
You turned into a real beauty, Country Club Estates. Homes originally sold for $9,999. That isn't a misprint. Regency Park was $14,000 homes, Embassy Hills originally sold for $17,000. All on Route 19.
Gotta hand it to the OP for exposing the dark side of Florida, there’s more than I ever imagined. Once considered moving south once I retired😂 safe to say that dream is dead. Although a friend of mine moved to St. Augustine and happens to love it, need to see for myself. Thanks for this….
There is help available to them. But they have to stop doing drugs to receive it. I live in leisure beach in Hudson. I see these people all the time. A lot of them choose to live like that sadly. Im a painter and almost convinced one to come work with me but he changed his mind and told me it's easier to beg all day and do drugs.
You would be surprised how many beggars on corners are in fact not homeless. I know of a family of 3-4 grown adults who go out in Fort Myers daily and beg on street corners downtown who live in a super nice home. They play the system on every level. They go to every church every Christmas and get tons of free stuff that they don't need. Its sickening.
The homeless would be better off moving to Alabama.Check out Zephyrhills and Thonotosassa down the road on US 301,Lake Thonotosassa and Hillsborough State Park, the first State Park in Florida with rapids.
Hey I would like to let everyone know that's watching your Channel that this place in particular is not so bad I've lived in Pasco for over 27 years and this place is not as bad as you may seem do you think it is
“Papa rellena” common in most cuban restaurants theres days. Katie has a recipe on her channel if you wanna try that. Katies came out tasting better than anything we have ever had.
tn hads alot problems on the poor, homeless and disabled military vets they treat them like crap you need goto hidden areas of tn to find the small towns and cities gatinburg,tn is like version of park city, utah.
16:55 HAHA It amuses me a little how you got angry at that cyclist with no lights. And that's because I live in Europe, more precisely in Poland. Our streets are not as well lit as in large US cities. Even in some larger Polish cities, if you go outside the downtown area, it is sometimes dark as in the countryside. And there are cyclists who ride without lights in such places. In the US, you really have a luxury when it comes to road infrastructure. The only downside is that you don't have enough bike paths and no sidewalks, it's a total failure for you. But when it comes to roads for cars, it is probably better only in Dubai.
we just need defund p guys in florida people need stop voting for them the only way fix homeless and poor other stuff also asked local churchs in your area help the poor and homeless show them your videos.
It gets worse and worse all over the us by the day

Make sure you keep those Puerto Ricans warm! 🌴😬
Took 14 steps in pasco county to find a needle
It's crazy I'm born and raised in pasco it was so nice and clean in the 90s
Your in Hudson FL AKA hobo county. The bicycle is the Pasco county Cadillac and the one's with a weed eater motor is the Rolls Royce verson. Truly sad
You passed my neighborhood i live by walmart it is bad very bad
I love how they put palm trees in the median now, like yeah that will make West Pasco less of an eyesore

Agreed. I lived in Chasco Woods Apts. It's so much worse now

I lived in Country Club estates for 2 yrs. It was wild back in 2012.

America has been blighted by poverty and drugs everywhere , I moved down here and I love it .
There is help available to them. But they have to stop doing drugs to receive it. I live in leisure beach in Hudson. I see these people all the time. A lot of them choose to live like that sadly. Basically a M lab at an abandoned bank?
Pretty much every abandon building on us 19 nowadays
This has got to be West Pasco

We moved to New port Richie.Florida Pasco County in 1971 d***It is changed so much since then... It is now known as new port nowhere
The homeless would be better off moving to Alabama.Check out Zephyrhills and Thonotosassa down the road on US 301,Lake Thonotosassa and Hillsborough State Park, the first State Park in Florida with rapids.
I rather be homeless In Florida than in. Mansion In Alabama

Hey I would like to let everyone know that's watching your Channel that this place in particular is not so bad I've lived in Pasco for over 27 years and this place is not as bad as you may seem do you think it is
I
Live in orange county Florida it's bad here too
I live in East pasco, and I have not noticed many homeless people.
It’s cause you are in the east. Majority of that is new. The west is horrible though.
I was homeless in pasco for about a year then l left
Despite the homeLess and the druggies houses sold for a lot of money inPasco county.
Houses sell for a fortune nowadays because the dollar is shot to hell! Eggs are $6
Not everyone around that area does what you're thinking
Just a half a mile more and you would have hit Gulf Harbor wish you would have went through there and did a review of this area 34652
I happen to be from that area and I know a lot of people and they would be disgusted by what you're saying
You gotta hook me up with the best Cuban spots around Tampa. ❤️

@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS I don’t think I’ve ever had any Cuban food and I’ve been in Florida since 1998. Not even a Cuban sandwich or coffee.
U gotta come to my spot girl!
2024 Update- Buisnesses are still in buisness, roads are expanding and new homes are being built everywhere.
12:10 I saw the video where the girl was wearing a wedding dress. Could you come back to this area at night?
Eventually we will
They should let homeless eat in restaurants for free then give them free grocerys get them a home for free get them a job.
there actually is a great breakfast place in that plaza

Lmk if you want a tour of Pasco County. You haven't shown the real parts. But again you need to be from here to know what your talking about.
If you can only praise some of the people around here you would feel a lot better sleeping at night!
