- Adolfo Corrado performing "Madamina, il catalogo è questo" from Mozart's opera Don Giovanni during the 4th round of the 2023 Cardiff Singer Of The World competition.
The Italian bass went on to win the Main Prize.
His most recent engagements include Teatro alla Scala in Milan (Andrea Chénier), Arena di Verona (Nabucco), Teatro la Fenice (I Lombardi), Palau de les Artes in Valencia (Don Giovanni), and Salzburger Festspiele (Tosca), among others.

Stage presence but there are some details on his technique that are impacting the tuning.
I hear them too..but he can iron them out. He has quite the voice !

I believe your translation is wrong sometimes. For example "bruna" in Italian at least here means "dark skinned", not "brunette (only the hair); and "bianca" means "fair skinned" or "white girl", not "white haired".
I believe you have no idea of what you are taking about.
On youtube every performance is applauded, no matter how bad it is. There are some many other interpretations of this piece on youtube, I feel like people are just watching one and think that that one performance is the pinnacle of the art. Watch 100 other versions from great baritones, then come back here and write a more sophisticated comment.
Hearing someone who actually speaks the language the piece was written in is refreshing. As an Italian it is agony hearing individuals who do not speak the language sing opera.
One simple question: why?
Not everyone is a trained musician. Let them be. If you really care, write a sophisticated comment, by all means. But, please don't put others off who may not have your training, ear, experience, or exposure. It's, frankly, elitism. And it will kill the arts dead if we musicians are not careful.

He's actually very good. Also, it's an aria for bass, not baritone.
I always think this aria is sung much too fast - it is a 4/4 Allegro, not a 2/2 Prestissimo.
