Like most XPress colors you have to shake the s##t out of them ;) (Black Lotus I'm looking at you). Wicked Purple needs shaking...then shaking some more and then when you think you've finished shake it some more.
You can use a lab vortex mixer, but they're expensive and can only be used for that. I can't remember where I saw it. But you can also use a massage gun, similar if not cheaper that some lab mixers, and you have a massage gun as well. I already have one from rehabbing an injury. It was a head slapping moment when I saw that hack.
Great video and your example models clearly show how much smoother Xpress Color is compared to other Contrast type wash paints. The slower drying time is superb when you compare them to super fast drying Speedpaints.
The only one I'm not a fan of in this wave is the Wicked Purple. I just don't see the Purple in it at all. Maybe it's just a dud and I should try another pot. We will see.

I have two steel agitator balls in all of them, and if I still need to shake it some more, I'll try it out again.

@@Bishop0151 I do have one, just have to find it again after the studio move 😆

Thank you for your kind comments. These really have become my go to paints, for a base coat and wash all in one.
Do you find that they come out more like a gel and they require Xpress medium to get them to smooth and easy coverage?
Nope, not at all. I use them straight out of the bottle. I only use the medium if I want to thin them down into a glaze
Great vid! What colour did you undercoat the marines with before applying the paint?
@@joolsthomas2904 they were all primed with Colourforge White Bone.
@@WrathRuin Thanks! More xpress content would be great by the way!
@@joolsthomas2904 I'll see what I can do. Is there anything in particular you are looking for?
I can't even find the express range on their website. 😂
I had to get them through Firestorm Games in The UK
Great run down, I really need to get the second wave paints.

these look tasty...any idea when the US gets them?
I have no idea sorry. They were out in the UK on the 27th of January, I would hope that you wouldn't be too far behind.
Cool 👍
Thanks
Omg that yellow and purple 😍
They are stunning colours.
are these released in a box set?
Unfortunately not that I have found. I had to buy them all separately, same with the first wave.
thanks. a box set would just make things easier. @@WrathRuin
@@scotimus oh 100%! There's around 50 paints in this range now, so it would make sense for a box of em.
This is pretty late but Sunward Hobbies sells the whole range in a box set of their own making (They arrived in two large plastic bags).
