I just hope that dragon breeding is going to be a thing, i want to make the most powerful and perfect dragon just for it to die in its infancy or something stupid
Check out the dragon hatching dev diary! Some dragons can be born from other dragons and might inherit their traits I believe. It could be random though
@@crusadereuropa Dragon DNA in their models isn’t inherited across dragons, so babies will not look like their parents. I don’t believe they confirmed or denied trait inheritance from parents, though.
It's going to be the Rogue prince but they said they will add more after testing! But don't forget it's not the only bookmark to get a dragon as Maeyls can get one, Aegon the unlikeyl can, and Aerys can try as well
Are you going to make more Dev Diary video updates? I really like them as you are able to summarize things very well. Better than that stream of 3 hours which was a mess
@@rayenlefrini315 Last time we did special videos when we had early release. But I would love to do a house rogare playthrough in Lys and have them plan a new valyrian trading empire enforced by dragons in essos
@@crusadereuropa same. But honestly the way these dragons work would translate to bigger naval ships as well. I don't think ship battles should act like normal battles with them only adding modifiers. It should be similar to the duel system in which the ship itself is a character. Have a court position like ship captain that you can hire for. The duels use the ships stats as well as the ship captain.
I wish I could enjoy it, but for some reason, Crusader Kings won't save and freeze when I try to play. I've got a good computer, but something about the save files and the cloud are messing everything up for me.
@@crusadereuropa thank you, the impatience is through the roof on this one lol it’s what we’ve all been waiting for. So many events and bookmarks will become available now
All of this is very interesting and impressive, and I applaud the team for their dedication to their work. But I fear the whole dragon system is a bit too ambitious, not sure CK3 can handle this, and how many potential bugs and problems this may introduce. I think the community would accept a simpler system, easier and faster to implement. While those dragon models are fantastic, that must be hundreds of hours of work to make all of this, do we really need it? Sorry for for being so skeptical about this, but the solutions they so far implemented for some things are far from perfect, like Iron Throne empire which implodes and rebuilds itself during each domestic war, leading to often really unrealistic and odd situations (like my character passing the judgment on themselves for the participation in the war they won; or entire realms being temporarily independent; or wars being invalidated because CBs do not work well, etc.). The whole map is totally unwieldy in the current state, with a one mega-empire and nearly nothing else (both Essos and Wildings feel like afterthoughts). Unless you really are into discovering all those fictional houses, you can play in Westeros only so much for it to become boring. I would much more prefer to have bigger world to explore and conquer than such an elaborate dragon system that already has taken years to develop. They've made some amazing work with flashing out Martins ASoIaF world, and they could've added more, because right now the map is quite small, and playing as a vassal for the entire time is pretty terrible. There is no way to retrace Daenerys' steps so far in the game, and this was the first thing I would want to do in Game of Thrones mod, and I am sure all Targaryen fans too. I guess the problem is that there is not enough material to base Essos and other regions on, and this is stopping them from working on that. I hope they won't abandon this mod at some point, like many other mods died in the meantime, because people no longer have hundreds of work hours to work essentially for free. Still, kudos to them for their work, and their dedication.
I think they just started working on dragons in last April so not so bad also just doing it in their spare time as well. Hopefully dragons end up being what everyone wants and it should be pretty faster to update essos as well
We are creating New Valyria with this one

I will finally be able to make the Targaryens great again 😂🎉
I think the bookmark of the Dragon mod is either Dance of the Dragons or Aegon the conqueror.

Probably both. I see them doing the Conqueror so you can start the whole play with dragons.

Great overview in this Dev Diary

I feel like this system could work really well for naval ships with a few tweaks.
I would love to paradox do just do a naval update instead of having modders do it imo 😆

One more week. Thats when hotd ends so... announcement release date possibly
That would be cool!
When is this releasing, we have a confirmed date this summer already?
Not sure. They did try to temper expectations that a new release version may not mean dragons just yet
It's coming this summer no confirmed date yet

I would probably reinstall, reverify and maybe put it on a new storage location
Will the dragons be able to lay eggs so as to hatch other dragons 🤔
Yes!
Any idea when this will be released?! This seems like the only and best hope for CK3 as a game.
My bet is sometime late july
Is there an expected release date for the dragons?
They gave a release date for this summer no specific one yet
